Make things easy, simple - SDS Domingo
By Carlos Garcia

You provide them (teachers) guidance
because that is one of your basic functions.
Your performance is the performance of your
teachers.
- SDS Denizon P. Domingo

“Management means making things simple and easy. Find a way to make things simple
and easy.”
This was the remark of Denizon P. Domingo, OIC, Schools Division Superintendent of the Division
of Cagayan, during the Division Management Committee Meeting of
Congressional District (CD) 2 at the Sanchez Mira School of Arts
and Trades on April 16, 2019.
After sharing some of the challenges experienced
in the Division Office as OIC Schools Division
Superintendent, he encouraged the CD2 school heads to
provide help to those teachers/employees needing assistance
in their work.
“Have initiative or innovation. Don’t be slave to orders. You have your
best practices,” Domingo encouraged.
Domingo discussed about the crafting of School Improvement Plan(SIP).
“You should have been finished with your SIP. You have formulated your SIP before. It is a
matter of modifying, stopping and continuing,” Domingo pointed out.
He also stressed that the improvement plan should be based on the profile of the school.
“You have your EMIS with 9 modules. Looking into the modules you can make your
improvement plan,” Domingo said.
He also mentioned the issues on teachers being hard up in providing Means Of Verifications
(MOVs) in their Individual Performance and Commitment Review Form.
“Bakit nahihirapan ang mga teachers sa MOVs? Hindi nila kaagad inayos at inilagay kung saan
dapat ilalagay. If may pagkakamali sa teachers, it is because there is no guidance from the direct
supervisor – the school head. You provide them (teachers) guidance because that is one of your basic
functions .Your performance is the performance of your teachers,” Domingo said. SDS DOMINGO
Domingo further clarified concepts in Objectives, Accomplishment Report, Progress Report and
Status Report.
