Using the Qur'an as a Bait

Unfortunately today, the Qur'an is being used as a 'handy tool' to attract

followers of other religions by people who do not represent the true
message of the Qur'an. Once this purpose is served, these new converts
are immediately removed from the Qur'an and placed on to a path that is
very different from the sublime and harmonious path of the Qur'an.

These sincere converts continue to learn about religion from the majority of
so-called Muslims around them, but have no idea how much they have
strayed from the true Book of Allah. They feel convinced they are on the
right path due to the others around them also being on that un-Quranic
path.

Such converts are initially sincerely seeking the truth, and are awe struck
by the beauty and majesty of the Qur'an. However, from the ignorant
majority around them who initially provide them with a copy of the Qur'an,
they learn unfounded, un-Quranic ideas - just as soon as they come in
contact with the Qur'an. They learn that the Qur'an is difficult to
understand without studying other sources, and that to learn from the
Qur'an you must learn from so-called scholars, or you must never make
conclusions yourself from the Qur'an and follow only what our forefathers
have told us about what the Qur'an says. These ideas are often cunningly
expressed so as not to sound unacceptable. The new converts begin to
read man-made books more and more, and the Qur'an less and less. In
most cases, the Qur'an is almost totally forgotten and abandoned.

Such converts are drawn completely away from Allah's true path and attain
no Quranic wisdom. They follow a dogmatic religion based on nostalgia of
the past. Utilising the Qur'an as a bait is common among the followers of
the un-Quranic religion, members of which do not posses any Quranic
wisdom themselves. They cannot find any other way to bring people to
their ignorant ways. But, such ignorant followers of religion will not be able
to keep those whom Allah wishes to guide using the Qur'an for too long.
Allah guides whom He wants, and misguides who He wants.
Being a true "Muslim" according to the Qur'an is to submit to God, feeling
you are weak and in need of God - and that God holds all power and
control over you and provides you with everything you have. It is also
about truly believing in the Hereafter, the existence of heaven, hell and
feeling the temporary and meaningless nature of the world. The believer
then thinks over the Qur'an in which God speaks to him or her directly, and
becomes a very wise and sensible person. He fears God and and is a
person who God bestows His love and mercy in return. This is the true
believer, who takes the Qur'an as a personal guide to life and follows its
commands and way of life meticulously.
