INDUSTRY PROFILE- MICRO AND MACRO
SCENERIO
INTRODUCTION
With the ongoing revolution in the field of electronics and communications where
innovations are taking place at the blink of an eye, it is impossible to keep the pace with. It is
the environment that makes sure that whether the result of this attitude is visible or otherwise.
A well planned, properly executed and evaluated industrial helps a lot in including a
professional attitude. It provides a linkage between the student and industry to develop an
awareness of industrial approach to problem solving, based on broad understanding of
process and mode of operation of organization.

During this period, the student gets the real experience for working in the actual industry
environment. Most of the theoretical knowledge that has gained during the courses of their
studies is put to test here. Apart from this the student gets an opportunity to learn the latest
technology, which is immensely helps in them in building their carrier. I had the opportunity
to have a real experience on many ventures, which increased my sphere of knowledge to
great extend. I got a chance to learn many new technologies and was also interfaced to many
instruments.

The word quality holds out different meaning for people, but for an industry it is most
important and can be defined as- the totality of features and characteristics of a product /
services that bear on its ability to satisfy given needs.

And all credits goes to organization Bharat Electronics Limited.

Blockchain

It has taken almost 10 centuries for the next big disruption in the way transaction ledgers are
created. In the 11th century, the double entry bookkeeping system changed how a ledger was
maintained and now many centuries later, blockchain has the potential to revolutionize how
systems of records are maintained.

To demystify blockchain and describe it in extremely simple words, it is nothing but a ledger
which has the following characteristics:

 Distributed & decentralized

 Immutable – write once, read many times

 Mathematically verified

Data Science as a Service

Technology-enabled transparency and advent of social media have transferred the flow of
market power from suppliers to customers, and a standalone experience, a single moment of
truth, holds the potential to make or break a brand. In this highly volatile and competitive
marketplace, where customers can easily shift spends, meeting demands in real-time has
become an imperative for success.

Happiest Minds Data Science consulting and business analytics solutions leverage the power
of predictive analytics to derive real-time insights and reduce customer churn. We help our
clients solve the toughest data challenges, predict demand for products and services to
improve customer satisfaction and guide business strategies based on knowledge and

enterprise communities in their whole experience of information access, application
design/develop/implement, administer/manage costs and infrastructure. The benefits of cloud
computing are widely accepted and enterprises are moving fast to experience the
transformation. Optimizing cloud technologies can increase platform efficiencies, operational
flexibility, and business scalability with the potential to elevate businesses to the next level.
Cloud Accelerators, for example, work in conjunction with traditional CDN (Content
Delivery Network) to get content to users as quickly as possible. Cloud permits
standardization of technology, simplification of software licenses, automated SDLC-right
from infrastructure to coding and managing and provides open source adoption opportunity.
These features lower the ownership cost and work on an Opex-based pricing model which is
flexible and leads to a very cost-effective IT investment impacting the top and bottom lines of
businesses, making them agile & efficient.

Happiest Minds Cloud consulting and implementation offerings help enterprises take their
next leap towards finding innovative ways to strategize and optimize their business

SERVICES FOR INDIVIDUALS

The past few years have been exciting times for Indian philanthropy. Large pledges have
been made by business leaders such as Azim Premji, Shiv Nadar, G. M. Rao, Rakesh
Jhunjhunwala and many more. Philanthropy is gaining prominence among HNIs and more
involvement is seen by them in terms of both time & monetary commitment. Given the vast
geography of the country and the issues faced by the less privileged , it rests equally with the
millions of middle- class Indians who are emerging as affluent and willing to share their time
and money .
Education is one of the sectors that has been positively impacted by philanthropic activities of
HNIs. Education aside, most philanthropists have invested in the development of young
minds and spirits, through the promotion of entrepreneurship, the delivery of training, and the
development of communication. Some have gone a step further, consolidating such initiatives
into well structured programmes that allow young people from diverse areas and backgrounds
to come together and develop their leadership skills.
2.10 SWOC ASSESSMENT

STRENGTHS

Strengths are things that your organization does particularly well, or in a way that
distinguishes you from your competitors. Think about the advantages your organization has
over other organizations. These might be the motivation of your staff, access to certain
materials, or a strong set of manufacturing processes.

Your strengths are an integral part of your organization, so think about what makes it "tick."
What do you do better than anyone else? What values drive your business? What unique or
lowest-cost resources can you draw upon that others can't? Identify and analyze your
organization's Unique Selling Proposition  (USP), and add this to the Strengths section.
Then turn your perspective around and ask yourself what your competitors might see as your
strengths. What factors mean that you get the sale ahead of them?

Remember, any aspect of your organization is only a strength if it brings you a clear
advantage. For example, if all of your competitors provide high-quality products, then a high-
quality production process is not a strength in your market: it's a necessity.

WEAKNESSES

Now it's time to consider your organization's weaknesses. Be honest! A SWOT Analysis will
only be valuable if you gather all the information you need. So, it's best to be realistic now,
and face any unpleasant truths as soon as possible.

Weaknesses, like strengths, are inherent features of your organization, so focus on your
people, resources, systems, and procedures. Think about what you could improve, and the
sorts of practices you should avoid.
Once again, imagine (or find out) how other people in your market see you. Do they notice
weaknesses that you tend to be blind to? Take time to examine how and why your
competitors are doing better than you. What are you lacking?

OPPORTUNITIES

Opportunities are openings or chances for something positive to happen, but you'll need to
claim them for yourself!

They usually arise from situations outside your organization, and require an eye to what
might happen in the future. They might arise as developments in the market you serve, or in
the technology you use. Being able to spot and exploit opportunities can make a huge
difference to your organization's ability to compete and take the lead in your market.

Think about good opportunities you can spot immediately. These don't need to be game-
changers: even small advantages can increase your organization's competitiveness. What
interesting market trends are you aware of, large or small, which could have an impact?

You should also watch out for changes in government policy related to your field. And
changes in social patterns, population profiles, and lifestyles can all throw up interesting
opportunities.

CHALLENGES

Threats include anything that can negatively affect your business from the outside, such as
supply chain problems, shifts in market requirements, or a shortage of recruits. It's vital to
anticipate threats and to take action against them before you become a victim of them and
your growth stalls.

Think about the obstacles you face in getting your product to market and selling. You may
notice that quality standards or specifications for your products are changing, and that you'll
need to change those products if you're to stay in the lead. Evolving technology is an ever-
present threat, as well as an opportunity!

Always consider what your competitors are doing, and whether you should be changing your
organization's emphasis to meet the challenge. But remember that what they're doing might
not be the right thing for you to do, and avoid copying them without knowing how it will
improve your position.

Be sure to explore whether your organization is especially exposed to external challenges. Do

you have bad debt or cash-flow problems, for example, that could make you vulnerable to
even small changes in your market? This is the kind of threat that can seriously damage your
business, so be alert.
CHAPTER- 3
ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE
ORAGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE OF BEL AS WHOLE

Happiest Minds today announced a forthcoming change in its organization structure

based on Board Members feeling the need for CEO & MD to be located in Bangalore.
Keeping organizational needs in mind, an idea about a location transition was discussed
between Ashok Soota, Executive Chairman and Vikram Gulati, CEO & MD at Happiest

together decided that Vikram Gulati should be free to pursue a path outside while Happiest

launching pad and achieve record breaking performance. We wish him all the best in his

FINDINGS, SUGGESTION AND CONCLUSION
FINDINGS

Happiest minds is the Digital Marketing production which paved the way for increased productivity
in Online Marketing service sector. It started with a vision to become a dependable Digital
Marketing Executives and provide self reliance in engineering and technology especially in Digital
Marketing.

With this vision it navigated through all difficulties which came on its way in the initial stages of
growth. Setting up of R & D centre was an envisaged activity to keep abreast with the latest
development,

Especially for Digital Marketing Production.with commercialization of its production at Coimbatore,

it began its expansion stage to Mangalore division But the reigning period of Happiest minds came
to an end with the scarcity and skyrocketing prices of services.

It could hardly do anything to save its declining trend as the product pricing is done.. The
organization as of now is stagnating and is in a difficult stage of production. The immediate impact
is seen in its low funding to R & D department, reluctance in adopting new technologies, revising
the corporate plans to the bare minimum targets and reduction in welfare measures of the company.
