THE BEST WAY
TO GET CLEAR
The best way to get Clear is to be
a good auditor.
You'll find that there is a direct
relationship in most cases. The best
way to get Clear is to be a good
auditor, and, of course, the way to
be a good auditor is to deliver a
good session. Those people who
do not give good auditing, oddly
enough, are those who are making
the least progress. It's quite remark-
able. It's sort of poetic justic. It
gets averaged out along the line.
Although the averages on this
sometimes might not look like this
to you - you're auditing well but
you're getting lousy sessions for
instance - remember that you've
given some lousy sessions when you
were getting good auditing too!
So the average balances out to a
marked degree, and it's actually
true that the very best way to get
Clear is to give good auditing;
But more important than that
arithmetical figure is just this
burning question — how are you
going to get Clear? Well, your
very best chance of getting clear
is having given good sessions now
and taught good auditing now and
kept it going. Because then it will
still be here and clearing people
when you are ready. There is no
substitute for good auditing and
good dissemination.
This is just a factor, not an exact
arithmetical equivalent — for
instance, there are people around
who have been clearing people, who
have been auditing like mad and
who haven't been receiving good
auditing, so the average is not good
for that particular person. But as
time goes on, that could reverse,
couldn't it? Because, actually as
far as a person getting OT with
exclamation points is concerned, it
totally depends on his continuing
to give good sessions. It's true. As
long as he goes on auditing and
giving good sessions, he will some-
day make OT.
That's the way the cookie
crumbles; that's the way the wheel
turns. And if you're worried some-
times, desperately worried about
getting Clear or getting clearer, then
audit like mad. That's my best
advice to you because it's advice
that I myself take.

we are doing something about so tell people that with certainty —

things. That's really what the world
wants from us. They want to know
that we are actually doing some-
thing about the world, that we're
doing something about Man, that
we do know where we're going,
that we are getting someplace and
that we are making progress. We
actually are living up to that.
Don't add to our burdens the
statement that with a snap of the
fingers they're going to all be
cleared because it isn't true and
it never will be true.
People expect of us to go on
forward and do something about
it. Well, we are going forward and
doing something about it. We are
doing something about it in a
remarkably short period of time.
It is very remarkable that some-
thing can be done about it with
certainty - proportional only to
the skill of administration of the
technology. Things can be done,
and the only thing that's letting
us down at all today is weak or
imperfect application of the
technology.
So there is where you sit on
dissemination. If you work along
those lines you'll be far, far better
off than if you say "Well, all you
have to do is sit down in the
chair and I'm going to make a
few magic passes . . . ' 7 5 hours
later you would still be making
those few magic passes. Your
heart would be broken, and so
would the pc's.
So you tell him it is a hard road.
And if it's easy for him, well,
you've made a liar out of yourself.
Anytime you want to make a liar
out of yourself that way, do so!
It's the other way you can't retract.
The goal of Clear can be attained,
that we have attained it, that we
can attain it and that it is attain-
able. And don't interpret it as
something that is easy to do
because it is not. If it were easy to
do it would have been done many,
many, many times before in Man's
history, and it has never been done
before in Man's history.

In the last year, TONY COHAN,
OT VII and Saint Hill Special Briefing
Course student at ASHO, wrote and pro-
duced more than 200 radio spots for
record artists like Elton John, Diana
Ross, Stevie Wonder and Joni Mitchell;
published two books and has two more
scheduled in May; has begun a novel
which will be out in the fall; and has
co-written a TV series now under develop-
ment at Warner Brothers.
But he was not always this productive.
Before Scientology several years ago,
Tony had tried his hand at many occupa-
tions, wanting desperately to write yet
unable to make it happen.
Then after his Scientology grades he
suddenly wrote >50 songs, sold a number
of them and had some recorded. He
wrote and sold two novels and published
a dozen articles within three months.
He has since developed a thriving
career as a writer, producer and publisher
who is much in demand.
