I dedicate this talk to my beloved teacher and father-in-law, Dr.

Bernard Jensen. This sign was made for Dr. Jensen by one of his patients.
It hung on his office door.

Dr. Jensen dedicated 70 years of his life to the field of Iridology and Nutrition.
As President of IIPA, it was my honor to present Dr. Bernard Jensen
with an IIPA Award for his pioneering work in the field of Iridology
in 1999.

1
A visit from his Iridology students from around the world including:
Ireland, New York, Australia, Italy, Canada

Visiting the Hippocrates Circle

Many thanks to:

• Christos Miliankos our IIPA President for years of service and hard work.
• Toni Miller for working on our IIPA Board and sponsoring this symposium in
Australia.

• All other IIPA Board Members: Kathy Norris, Birgit Lueders, Emil Bewo,
Robin Baker, Steffany Haynes and Nancy Rondone as well as our Executive
Director, Patty Lower for their tremendous contributions to Iridology.

• And all of our speakers including, Denny Johnson, Tharindu Fernando,

Michael Salas, Rosemary Bourne, Ann Vlass, and Michelle Jones for their
excellent life work and presentations.

• All of the participants here today.

What is the Collarette?

Understanding the
Collarette
with Respect to the
Autonomic Nervous
System, Flow of Energy,
and Bowel Function

What is the Collarette?

Collarette Wreath

1. Important landmark for intestinal and

autonomic nervous system activity.
2. Located around Zone 2, it outlines the Zone
of Absorption – Intestinal Zone.
3. A direct link between intestinal symptoms
that may also affect other corresponding
areas of the body.
4. A guideline for inner directed or outer
directed energy flow and personality.
5. A guide for Time Risk™ or times of significant
events throughout one’s life.

Iris and Collarette Patterns

Colon Reflex Chart
 Each iris and each collarette is unique -
as unique as each individual snowflake.
No two are alike.

 The structure of the iris is formed during

gestation and does not change
throughout one’s life, except with injury
to the eye or surgery.

The colon connects to all parts of the body. Any problem with
any section of the bowel may affect the organs adjacent in the
iris chart.

Normally at birth or soon after, remnants from the collarette have

receded from the pupil.

The Autonomic Nervous System

Autonomic Nervous System

Sympathetic Side -
Body’s gas

• Dilates pupil
• Increases heart rate
• Inhibits salivation and
digestion
• Necessary, even life saving,
at times
• May prevent the proper
operation of
parasympathetic (which is
equally important)

The Autonomic Nervous System regulates the internal body processes that
require no conscious awareness:
• rate of heart contractions
• rate of breathing,
• amount of stomach acid secreted
• speed at which food passes through the digestive tract.

Autonomic Nervous System

Nerves from the spinal cord connect to all parts of the body. An injury to
Parasympathetic Side - body’s brakes/Rest and Digest any section of the spine will affect the organs connected to it.

• Decreases heart rate
• Stimulates digestion, release of bile and improves peristalsis

The Collarette has a direct relationship with the autonomic

nervous system and bowel function.

be assessed with respect to the
whole.”
