You and some friends had dinner in a restaurant a few nights ago.

The service at the

restaurant was terrible and the menu did not specify the allergens nor the vegan
options. You and two friends had severe stomach-aches the following day. The food
was also overpriced.
Write to the manager of the restaurant and explain these problems. Give any details
that you think are relevant. Ask the manager to do something about the situation.
To whom it may concern,

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the assistance at the restaurant during a dinner
I had last with some friends.

First of all, we could not see any information at the menu about allergens or vegetarians.
Therefore, it was really difficult to order. Some of my friends are allergic to gluten so we had to
ask the staff about gluten-free course. Furthermore, the waiter did not help at all, he treated
us in a rude way.

After asking to other staff, we found a waitress that tried to help us and we could finally order
for everyone. We had to wait for a while but food was ready. Even though all the courses
looked very nice and attractive on the table, we notice that the food was pre-cooked.

Due to the fact that the quality of the food was awful we did not agree with the prices. We
tried to come to terms with the staff since we refuse to pay the amount of money. It was
impossible to come to an agreement so we decided to pay and let the manager know about
this terrible conditions.

I would appreciate if you could take into account this situation and give me any solution such
as a refund or a voucher to have a new dinner in better conditions. It is the first time this
happens to me and I usually attend the restaurant.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours faithfully,

Great work Ana. The extension is great and the tone and register is appropriate
throughout. The use of expressions like come to terms is great. Just be careful to continue
to use the past tense when describing events in the past. B2
