Conclusion
Based on the preceding results, the following conclusions were drawn:
The findings of the study showed that the statements with the highest response are enabling
students to gain exposure in college level coursework.

Recommendation
Based on the conclusions of the study, the researchers recommend that:

Universities should be encouraged to implement bridging programs especially in engineering

courses.

Our school, Technological University of the Philippines Visayas should strengthen the bridging
program since the program can greatly affect the upcoming freshmen students’ overall
preparedness in tackling engineering subjects and transition to college.

School administrators and instructors should support the program for the sake of helping students
increase their chances of increasing their knowledge and skills in mathematics.
A similar study should be conducted with a greater population size to have more conclusive
results.

Research Instrument

The researchers used a 5-point Likert scale survey-questionnaire; (5) strongly agree, (4) agree,
(3) neither agree nor disagree, (2) disagree, and (1) strongly disagree. The following guide was used to
interpret the rating of the responses.

Mean Range Verbal Interpretation

4.50 – 5.00 Very High

3.50 – 4.49 High

2.50 – 3.49 Average

1.50 – 2.49 Low

1.00 – 1.49 Very Low
