SUBJECT: 2009 BlueTEC AdBlue Filling Pump and Removal Wrench availability

This message to inform you about the availability status of the AdBlue Filling Pump and the AdBlue
tank sending unit removal tool.

The AdBlue filling pump will be now be available for purchase and any standing orders will ship
during the week of October 27th. Purchase of the filling pump will automatically occur if your dealer
decides to purchase AdBlue in bulk 55 gal and 27 gal containers.

The AdBlue tank sending unit removal tool has been sourced locally and is commercially available
through Snap-On. It can now be purchased from your local Snap-on Dealer details are below.

AdBlue Filling Pump:

Important Notes and Warnings for the handling of AdBlue fluid and the above equipment:
• Diesel Exhaust Fluid “AdBlue/CBlue” is highly reactive and will contaminate any items it
comes in contact with. Care must be taken not to spill.
• Fresh water must be used to flush all Diesel Exhaust Fluid equipment after each use to
prevent the build up of scaling which could render the equipment unusable.
• An AdBlue Fill Pump will be automatically shipped and then billed to the dealer’s “Parts
Statement” once the order for the first 55 gallon container of fluid is placed.
• Parts will be available separately for the measurement kit.

• Containers of AdBlue will need to be tested monthly to verify the urea content.
• It is required to use the Trunk Cover to prevent any spillage.
• The Diesel Exhaust Fluid needs to be stored in a cool, dry area. It is susceptible to aging due
to thermal cycling.
• Please dispose of excess AdBlue® fluid properly in accordance with local ordinances.

All replacements of the OM642 components including SCR (AdBlue) components as listed on
NetStar [NetStar > Service > STAR TekInfo > EDAC > Diagnostic Guide > OM642 Diesel Engine]
will require that the dealer call the EDAC to open a case, review the methods of diagnosis and the
results. The EDAC dedicated toll free number is 1-800-997-8228 8 AM to 8 PM EST Monday to
Friday.
