-What is the main difference between ‘war’ and ‘conflict’?

R: War is an armed confrontation between two countries or more. Conflict is the


lack of understanding between two people or a group of people.
-Is it about scale, numbers of people involved or affected, about territory?
R: Just having an affected person can already generate a conflict, it all depends on
the way it is handled.
-Is it about what happens within a state versus what happens between
states?
R: I don't know, but I think it is a problem for all states and they can also become
the world.
-Is it the level of organization?
R: No, it is the bad use of power that generates wars and conflicts.
-We know that war is a bad thing, but is conflict always a "bad" thing?
R: Conflict is always going to be bad, but there are times when conflict can arise
for a common good.
-Is peace simply the absence of conflict or is there more?
R: Yes, peace is generated or felt when 2 or more parties are not in conflict.
-How does the class think that war and conflict affect children?
R: War will always affect the way of thinking, dreams and goals that children want
to achieve.

R: The 5 countries most affected by the war are; Yemen, Iraq, Syria, South Sudan,
Somalia, Afghanistan.

-Which areas of the world is the most peaceful?


R: The 5 safest cities in the world are Tokyo, Singapore, Osaka, Amsterdam, and
Sydney.
-Is the world becoming more or less peaceful over time?
R: I think that the world is still as conflictive, but the people are seeing conflicts
more and more normal.
