Subtopic : Number 0 to 10

Class : Year 1
Time : 10.15 – 11.15 a.m
Learning Outcomes : By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:
1.Say the number names 1 to 9
2. Recognize numerals 1 to 9
3.Count a group of objects 1 to 9

Prerequisite knowledge : Pupils know how to:


1. Count simple number such as number of sweets.
2. Know their age, house number, bus number, page number, numbers on
telephone and clock face.
Learning Activities :

• Pupils say numerals familiar to them: e.g. their age, house number,
bus number, page number, and numbers on telephone and clock
face.
• Teacher represents (models) each number using objects in the
classroom: e.g.1 book, 4 chairs, 1 nose and 2 eyes.
• Pupils listen and repeat each number after teacher through rhymes
and songs. For example: Ten Little Indian Boys.
• Pupils recite the sequence; one, two ... nine through rhymes, songs
and stories.

Thinking Skill :
1. Arrange the number sequence
2. To process mentally
3. Compare the value of each number

Value :
1. Cooperation and collaboration from each other
