Essential Skill For Team Management

Good management skills are imperative for any group to succeed in its purpose. In any

workplace, we normally seem to focus less on extraordinary organization, and more on the

appealing work of the activity. With my experience, as a project manager in an e-commerce

organisation, I believe, I will bring my management skill in action, to support my team plans and

efficiently structure the tasks to meet the desired deliverables on time.

Having worked as a manager in my previous organisation has allowed me to learn about

planning and organising projects, effectively working on them by collaborating with relevant

stakeholders and delivering the tasks within timelines. Chadha (2020) said that “She has played

various roles of increasing responsibility for about 5 years. She has been sincere and a

dependable resource with excellent collaboration skills and with her extreme management skills

she would be an asset to any organisation”.

Management skill possesses the ability to organize, plan activities assigned to a task and

delegate responsibilities efficiently for desired outcomes. According to Cynthia Measom:

If you want your small business to succeed, you need not only skilled or trainable

employees, but also a good manager. A good manager acts as a catalyst to mobilize

employees, strengthen their skills and channel those skills to meet workplace goals.

Srivastava. P (personal communication, September 9, 2019) concluded that, “reflecting

extreme efficiency in other expertise are important; however being able to manage the ideas and

following them in a structured manner is an essential skill.”
