2006 Philadelphia Area Kosher Community Survey
The first annual Philadelphia Area Kosher
Community Survey garnered a solid response of over
150 participants. This report provides some
interesting insights into the strengths and weakness
of local kosher stores, bakeries and restaurants.
For those establishments that did well, I encourage
you to congratulate them. For those establishments
that need improvement, let them know that we all
hope their scores go up next year!
We have two goals to improve next year’s survey.
First, a number of establishments did not have a
sufficient number of evaluations. KCS will work with
these businesses to get their customers to participate
in the 2007 survey. Second, few survey takers
provided written comments about the specific
establishments. Next year, we hope to have more
written comments so that summaries can be
provided to the community as part of the report.
