long history in medicine, mathematics, astronomy, and philosophy.

As a new generation of Iranian Scientists and researchers, we have a big boots to fill.
The record of the rate of growth in Iran's scientific output is a proof that considering
the obstacles, we have done our best

Now, what are we looking for and why are we in EURIE 2019?
To increase our contributions’ visibility and impact in solving world’s scientific issues
by creating partnerships with other universities, developing joint higher education
programs, workshops, ….

• Private (such as Islamic Azad University)

Ranking? So far state universities have a higher ranking and are more prestigious.

Who establishes the research policies?

The Iranian Research Organization for Science and Technology and the National
Research Institute for Science Policy come under the Ministry of Science, Research,
and Technology.

Iran has several funds to support entrepreneurship and innovation:
· Innovation and Flourishing/Prosperity Fund of the Directorate of Science and Technology
of the Presidential Office,
· National Researchers and Industrialists Support Fund,
· Nokhbegan Technology Development Institute,
· Nanotechnology Fund,
· Novin Technology Development Fund,
· Sharif Export Development Research and Technology Fund,
· Support Fund of Researchers and Technologists,
· Payambar Azam (the great prophet) Scientific and Technological Award,
· Student Entrepreneurs Support Fund,
· +6,000 private interest-free funds & 3 venture capital funds (Shenasa, Simorgh and Sarava
Pars).

The Iranian government also offers intensely competitive but fully paid scholarships
for successful applicants to pursue PhD-level studies in several foreign countries.
