Lesson Aim: By the end of the lesson, learners will be better able to respond to a reading text as well as
practise their reading for gist and reading for details skills.

The Class: Upper Intermediate

How to achieve the lesson aim:

Anticipated problems:

1. Learners may come across some challenging vocabulary in the reading text.

2. Some learners may struggle to grasp the gist when asked to skim read the text.

3. Some learners may struggle to express certain ideas when responding to the text/ topic (in the activate stage)
due to lack of vocabulary.
