LAW

IT IS SUPPOSED THAT LAW IS ONE’S GUIDE TO ETHICAL BEHAVIOR, IN THE


PHILIPPINES, FILIPINOS ARE CONSTRAINED TO OBEY THE LAWS OF THE LAND
AS STATED IN THE COUNTRY’S CRIMINAL AND CIVIL CODES, MAKING THIS
EVEN MORE PARTICULAR, IN CEBU, RESIDENTS ARE CONSTRAINED TO FOLLOW
ANY PROVINCIAL LAWS OR CITY ORDINANCES.

-CONSTITUTIONAL LAW
-COMMUNITY LAW
Divine Law - is any law that is comprehended as getting from an otherworldly source, for
example, the desire of God or divine beings, as opposed to man-made law. Divine laws are
normally viewed as better than man-made laws, now and again because of an understanding
that their source has assets past human information and human explanation. They are concurred
more prominent authority, and can't be changed by human specialists.

Example:
 I am the Lord thy God, thou shalt not have any strange gods before Me.
 Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.
 Remember to keep holy the Sabbath day.
 Honor thy father and mother
 Thou shalt not kill
 Thou shalt not commit adultery.
 Thou shalt not steal.
 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor
 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife.
 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s goods.
Constitutional law is a body of law which defines the role, powers, and structure of
different entities within a state, namely, the executive, the parliament or legislature, and
the judiciary; as well as the basic rights of citizens and, in federal countries such as the
United States and Canada, the relationship between the central government and state,
provincial, or territorial governments.

ARTICLE IX

The Commission on Elections

SECTION 1.There shall be a Commission on Elections composed of a Chairman and six


Commissioners who shall be natural-born citizens of the Philippines and, at the time of
their appointment, at least thirty-five years of age, holders of a college degree, and must
not have been candidates for any elective position in the immediately preceding elections.
However, a majority thereof, including the Chairman, shall be Members of the Philippine
Bar who have been engaged in the practice of law for at least ten years.

ARTICLE I

National Territory

The national territory comprises the Philippine archipelago, with all the islands and
waters embraced therein, and all other territories over which the Philippines has
sovereignty or jurisdiction, consisting of its terrestrial, fluvial, and aerial domains,
including its territorial sea, the seabed, the subsoil, the insular shelves, and other
submarine areas. The waters around, between, and connecting the islands of the
archipelago, regardless of their breadth and dimensions, form part of the internal waters
of the Philippines.
