ASSURE Lesson Plan Template

You will create flipped lessons based on the ASSURE model. You must complete this
lesson plan template before you begin to develop your screencast video. Please see a
sample lesson plan posted in the assignment page.

Fitness Scavenger Hunt
Fitness for Life, Standard FFL.1.3
Participate in activities that promote health-related fitness.
Analyze Learners:

This lesson will consist of 15-18 year old high school students in Utah. This is meant for
a combination of all types of students from race, gender, and socioeconomic classes. This
lesson should be used for students who already have the basic movement of walking,
running, and jumping.

State Objectives:
(Include ABCD in your objective. Refer to the ASSURE PowerPoint)
Given blank spaces that make out a word the high school students should be able to figure
out the object being described and find it in either the gym or the outside field then
complete the exercise associated with the object.

Evaluate and Revise:

Students’ will be evaluated based off of their recorded heart rate and the amount of time it
took them to complete the scavenger hunt. By taking the students heart rate at the time of
completion will make sure that they were doing the exercises and accomplishing the main
goal of this activity. The amount of time it took to complete this activity will determine
the winner (whom gets a treat of their choice brought to them next class) which is ensile
motivation for the students to complete the tasks and focus on each scavenger question.
