Strategies for Reliance Digital to Enhance Direct Selling:

I. Opening More Stores, especially it’s smaller size neighbourhood stores:


Currently Reliance Digital is present nation-wide with 300+ stores across 100+ cities.
Since most of us are in lockdown period, people would be needing the essential digital
products faster since they are not engaged into many other things. So, we believe that
opening more and more retail stores and partnering-up with the retailers in each and every
neighbourhood or 1 store at least in a radius of 20 K.M. will make us more visible and will
also contribute in increasing the sales. Also, it will be easy for a customer to locate a store.
And at the same time, talking of Remote areas’, we can tie up with the local vendors or the
local retailers in order to reach the customers in the areas and providing them the same
experience. Here we can
Reliance Digital can also come up with an Express store, where shopping experience is
totally different. The consumer has gone through all the steps of “THE BUYING PROCESS”
and now has to just make the purchase decision, so, this enables them to save a lot of time.

II. Cashbacks on delayed deliveries.


Since it is a lockdown period, people would be needing the essential digital products
faster since they are not engaged into many other things. So, it would be great if we
could send them faster as expected. This can be achieved through a good network of
delivery agents and faster dispatching techniques and also by the first strategy which
Kushagra mentioned. For each and every delayed delivery there will be some reliance
credits which would be remitted only in reliance website or app while buying any
product. This would build a sense of trust in the minds of the customers and it would
also make us stand out in terms of our competitors.

III. Capturing Prospects by exclusive offers:


Any of our elite or loyal customers who had searched for a specific product and didn’t make
a purchase would be followed by a call from our salesperson or the seller of that particular
product. He/she would be given an offer which is not mentioned in the website. This offer
would be depending upon the loyalty of the customer, profit margin of the product and the
commission given to the salesperson. This will let us build a better relationship with the
customer as it would make them feel that we are really concerned about them. We would
also give our suggestions about the alternatives of that product available on our platform.
And this would also help us by benefitting the society by hiring more salespersons.

Since most of us are in lockdown period, people would be needing the digital products to
overcome this time. But for instance, someone has to buy a Bluetooth Speaker or, for
instance, a Television, he won’t simply order it online until and unless he has used that
