Q1.How can a new model of Christian education be executed, as suggested by Samson

Prabhakar?
Ans= According to Christian Educator Samson Prabhakar, there are basis theological principles
for Christian Education which he called a new model of Christian education i.e. Christian
Education that aims at holistic transformation would need a theory that has emerged in that
context. Christian education also need to look at in a inclusivitic perspective. This new model of
Prabhakar has to do in reality, there are interactions. Mutual solidarity and colobaration. Here,
the idea of Church, Human, and Creator/God are in separatable being which it connect to each
other. The Church and the world are not opposite to each other.
It is crucial since the kind of Christian Education that we have at present in our churches has lost
its cutting edge, because its underlying assumptions are alien to our present context.

Addition to Prabhakar, Christian Education plays an important role in helping the Church to
understand the relationship between faith and action. The Church in the world can be a medium
of sharing God’s love to those who are unprivileged in the society. And The theological basis
for Christian Education and social change also reflects upon human being in the world and God
is in the world. God has anointed human beings to take care of His creation and to be responsible
to raise ones voice against the social evils and to be a torch bearer for fellow human beings in
our day to day life. Therefore human beings, The world, and the Creator are Dichotomized.

Q2. Elucidate your own understanding of the role of church in the World.
Ans= Christian Education plays an important role in helping the Church to understand the
relationship between faith and action. The Church in the world can be a medium of sharing
God’s love to those who are unprivileged in the society.

The same love that binds the church together as a body also binds the church to the world. “For
God so loved the world that they gave his only son, that whoever believes in him should not
perish but have eternal life. For God sent the son into the world, not to condemn the world, but
that the world might be saved through him” (John 3:16-17). There is always a risk to the church
as it seeks to live in mission in the midst of the world. Living in the world, it may become like
the world, churches in non-Christian cultures are confronted by a problem how much to
withdraw from society, and yet how to be identified with society enough to play a vital role in
the lives of the people. When the church, like its Lord, gives itself in sacrificial, redemptive love
to the world, it has the power and transform and recreate.

Here are some of the important point of How Church In the world can be Listed out:

1.Church as the light of the world

Light is seen as an important metaphor in the Bible “God is light” according to I John 1:5, and
Christ is described in the fourth gospel as “the light of the world”. God is also described as. God
moreover has come in Christ to bring light into the darkness.

2.Church as Educator
The church considered as educator is primarily a fellowship of older and younger persons, and
that if this fellowship be rich and aspiring it will be educationally effective, whatever be the
material and the method of instruction. Church education at its best in an initiation into a living
fellowship. Good fellowship in the church is itself a process of Christian education.

3.Transformation
This transformation can only take place through the obedience of individuals and communities to
the Gospel of Jesus Christ, whose power changes the lives of men and women by releasing them
from the guilt, power, and consequences of sin, enabling them to respond with love toward God
and toward others and making them “new creatures in Christ” (2 Cor. 5:17).

The Church in the world is a not just a mere fellowship but the community of believers who are
united in faith and joined in action for the social change. Christian education can shape the
society and influence the society to be Christ like community. Church through Christian
education can reach out to the world in a wider spectrum and affect the society by educating it.
