How are you different from others?
I think from my mind and not from my heart. It is a filmy dialogue that a person should think from heart. I believe that we have to be rational and facts oriented. We should give priority to our work in comparison to our family.
Are you an idealist?
Not completely. We have to live in an imperfect world. Our survival is more important in the modern industry.
Who is your ideal in the industry -Sam
Pitroda or Bill Gates or someone else ? My ideal is Bill Gates. I got plucked thrice but I believe in the saying of Bill Gates who believe in application of knowledge. He has proved this also as his contemporary academically more brilliant persons are far behind him. I also wish to compensate for my weaknesses by putting in more efforts and achieving some credentials in the corporate world.
How do you see your future in this fast
changing and evolving industry? I see myself as an intrapreneur and I wish to use my skills and abilities in introducing technology for the benefit of common man. I want to use my skills for bridging the digital gap - which we call as digital divide. I wish to introduce new applications of the technology so that more and more persons are able to get empowered with the aid of technology. I can say in short "Technology for empowerment of masses".
In your industry, which companies
fascinate you the most? I admire DRDO, ISRO and other such companies. Though these are government organisations, but they are trying to introduce technology for the development of the common persons. They are picking up challenging projects and trying to apply the technologies in newer fields.
Who has helped you the most in your
development? My family - as my father encouraged me to study, my sisters guided me about what to study and how. My computer teacher further guided me about what to study and how. He is like an elder brother to me.
What are your views about the new
generation - is it really responsible, mature and able to understand the braoder perspectives like earlier generations? No, the new generation is not a very responsible generation in my opinion. I have seen that the new generation students are only relying on Tutions for their studies and they dont study on their own. They are not putting time for their health and fitness. They are attached to TV more than required. Thus they are not able to pay proper attention to their own development.
What will you prefer - a large but
bureaucratic company or a small but growing and organic company?
I prefer a small but growing and organic
company. Because, growing company tries to adapt and adjust as per the market forces. It is flexible, adaptive and adjusting to the changing world. Thus this company is better as I shall also be able to learn and grow with it. There is a greater possibility of creativity and innovation in these companies.
What are your expectations from the
company where you want to work? I want to work hard and improve myself, my skills, my competence and the company should provide me an opportunity to learn and grow. I wish to give more and more benefit to the company where I work and therefore I expect that the company should give me more and more space to work, to experiment and to put in my efforts.
In your perception, how do your friends
describe you in your absence? I dont have any idea, but I had an encounter with my teacher, where I told my teacher that I dont listen any wrong statement from any person. I also had some encounter with my seniors. These incidents have made my image as that of a very straight forward and fearless person.
Dont you think that the modern
corporate work require compromises, adjustments and sometimes even slips? I dont like this statement, but we have to compromise sometimes. No person can individually change the world and we have to follow the rules of the world. We have to take initiatives for our survival also.
