PLEASE READ THIS END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT (THIS AGREEMENT ) CAREFULLY. BY CLICKIN
G THE ACCEPT BUTTON BELOW OR BY USING LEAGUE OF LEGENDS (THE GAME ) OF WHICH THE GAME
CLIENT SOFTWARE (THIS SOFTWARE ) IS A COMPONENT, YOU AGREE THAT THIS AGREEMENT IS
ENFORCEABLE LIKE ANY WRITTEN CONTRACT SIGNED BY YOU. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO ALL
OF THE TERMS OF THE AGREEMENT, CLICK ON THE BUTTON THAT INDICATES THAT YOU DO NO
T AGREE TO ACCEPT THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT, AND DO NOT COMPLETE INSTALLATION
OF THE SOFTWARE.
I. License Grant.
Subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement, Riot Games Limited ("Riot
Games") hereby grants to the user ( You ) a non-exclusive, non-transferable license
to internally install and execute solely as a component of the Game (i) the Sof
tware and related explanatory materials ( Documentation ); and (ii) any Software upg
rades, patches, subsequent versions, and updates (collectively Updates ) licensed t
o You by Riot Games.
II. Term/Termination.
This Agreement is effective upon Your installation of the Software and shall con
tinue until terminated as provided herein. This Agreement will terminate automat
ically if You fail to comply with any of the limitations or other requirements d
escribed herein. Upon any termination or expiration of this Agreement, You must
cease use of the Software and destroy all copies of the Software in Your possess
ion or control.
III. Ownership Rights.
YYou do not own the Software. The Software is protected by copyright and other i
ntellectual property laws and treaties, and is licensed and not sold. Riot Games
and its affiliatesown and retain all right, title and interest in and to the So
ftware and You do not acquire any rights to the Software except as expressly set
forth in this Agreement. All intellectual property rights in and to the Game (i
ncluding, but not limited to any titles, computer code, objects, artifacts, char
acters, character names, locations, location names, stories, story lines, dialog
, catch phrases, artwork, structural or landscape designs, animations, sounds, m
usical compositions and recordings, audio-visual effects, character likenesses,
and methods of operation) are owned or licensed by Riot Games. The Game may cont
ain materials licensed by third parties, and the licensors of those materials ma
y enforce their rights in the event of any violation of this License Agreement
IV. Additional License Limitations.
The license granted to you in Section I is subject to the limitations set forth
in Sections II, III and IV (collectively, the License Limitations ). Any use of the
Software in violation of the License Limitations is an unauthorized use of the
Software outside of the license granted to you in Section I, and will be regarde
d as an infringement of the copyrights Riot Games holds in and to the Software a
nd the Game. You agree that you will not, under any circumstances:
A. sell, lease, license, rent, loan or otherwise transfer the Software;
B. reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software;
C. modify or cause to be modified any files that are part of the Software in any
way not expressly authorized by Riot Games;
D. make use of, or cause any other person or entity to make use of, the Software
or the Game for any commercial purpose, including but not limited to (i) partic
ipating in the Game in exchange for payment (e.g. leveling services), (ii) the sal
e of in-Game items outside of the Game, except as such transactions may be autho
rized by Riot Games and conducted via services provided by Riot Games, and (iii)
the sale of Game accounts, except as such transactions may be authorized by Rio
t Games and conducted via services provided by Riot Games;
E. create derivative works based upon the Software or the Game in whole or in pa
rt for any purpose, except that you are authorized to (i) make one copy of the S
oftware and the Documentation for personal archival purposes only, and (ii) use
third party image and video capture software to capture the output of the Softwa
re as audio, video and/or still image files for personal, not for profit use pur
suant to the Terms of Service;
F. use any unauthorized third party programs, including but not limited to "mods
," "hacks," "cheats," "scripts," "bots," "trainers," and automation programs, th
at interact with the Software in any way, for any purpose, including but not lim
ited to any unauthorized third party programs that intercept, emulate, or redire
ct any communication between the Software and Riot Games and any unauthorized th
ird party programs that collect information about the Game by reading areas of m
emory used by the Software to store information.
V. Consent to Monitor and Termination of Access.
When You are using the Software, the Software may monitor Your computer's random
access memory for unauthorized third party programs prohibited by Section IV.F
that interact with the Software or the Game. In the event that the Software dete
cts an unauthorized third party program prohibited by Section IV.F, information
may be communicated back to Riot Games, including the name of your account, your
internet protocol (IP) address, details about the unauthorized third party prog
ram detected, and the time and date that the unauthorized third party program wa
s detected, with or without additional notice to You. No other information about
You or Your computer will be communicated to Riot Games. If the Software detect
s the use of an unauthorized third party program, Your access to the Game may be
terminated with or without additional notice to you.
VI. Updates.
Riot Games may provide Updates to the Software that must be installed for You to
continue to play the Game. You hereby grant to Riot Games Your consent to insta
ll such Updates to Your computer without additional notification to You
VII. Terms of Service.
You must accept the Terms of Service in order to use the Game. The Terms of Serv
ice Agreement governs all aspects of game play. If you do not agree to the Terms
of Service, then you may not register for an account or play the Game
VIII. Termination of Agreement.
This Agreement is effective until terminated. You may terminate the Agreement at
any time by removing the Software from Your computer s permanent memory, destroyi
ng any copy of the software you may have made pursuant to Section IV.E, and noti
fying Riot Games of your intention to terminate this Agreement. Riot Games may t
erminate this Agreement at any time for any reason or no reason. Upon terminatio
n, Your license grant as set forth in Section I shall immediately terminate and
you must immediately remove the Software from your computer s permanent memory and
destroy any copy of the software you may have made pursuant to Section IV.E
IX. Changes to the Agreement.
YYou agree that Riot Games has right to change, modify, add to, supplement or de
lete any of the terms and conditions of this Agreement, effective upon notice as
follows: Riot Games will post the revised version of this Agreement on the Leag
ue of Legends website and will also provide You the opportunity to accept or rej
ect the modified agreement when launching the Game. If the changes to the Agreem
ent are unacceptable to you or cause you to no longer be in compliance with the
Agreement, you may terminate the Agreement in accordance with Section VIII
X. Termination and Changes to Game.
You acknowledge have no interest, monetary or otherwise, in any feature of or co
ntent in the Game. You agree that Riot Games may stop providing support for or a
ccess to the Game at any time for any reason or no reason. You also agree that R
iot Games may change, modify, suspend, nerf, discontinue, or restrict Your access
to any features or parts of the Game at any time without notice or liability to
You.
XI. Warranty and Disclaimer.
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED TO YOU AS IS AND RIOT GAMES MAKES NO WARRANTY, CONDITION
OR REPRESENTATION (EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WHETHER BY STATUTE, COMMON LAW, CUSTOM, U
SAGE OR OTHERWISE) AS TO ANY MATTER INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, NONINFRINGEME
NT OF THIRD PARTY RIGHTS, MERCHANTABILITY, INTEGRATION, OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICU
LAR PURPOSE. YOU ASSUME ALL RESPONSIBILITY FOR SELECTING THE SOFTWARE TO ACHIEVE
YOUR INTENDED RESULTS, AND FOR THE INSTALLATION OF, USE OF, AND RESULTS OBTAINE
D FROM THE SOFTWARE. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, GOA MAKES NO WARRANTY THAT
THE SOFTWARE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, THAT THE GAME WILL BE FREE FROM INTERRUPTIONS O
R OTHER FAILURES, OR THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS
XII. Limitation of Liability.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES AND UNDER NO LEGAL THEORY, WHETHER IN TORT (INCLUDING NEG
LIGENCE), CONTRACT, OR OTHERWISE, SHALL RIOT GAMES BE LIABLE TO YOU OR TO ANY OT
HER PERSON FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF GOODWILL, OR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCI
DENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR DAMAGES FOR GROSS NEGLIGENCE OF ANY CHARACT
ER INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR WORK STOPPAGE, COMPUTER FAILURE OR
MALFUNCTION, OR FOR ANY OTHER DAMAGE OR LOSS. IN NO EVENT SHALL RIOT GAMES BE L
IABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES IN EXCESS OF ANY AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID RIOT GAMES FOR THE G
AME AND GAME-RELATED TRANSACTIONS, IF ANY, EVEN IF RIOT GAMES HAS BEEN ADVISED O
F THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
XIII. Indemnity.
You agree to indemnify, hold harmless, and defend Riot Games from and against al
l claims or lawsuits, including attorney s fees, that arise or result from Your us
e or misuse of the Software, or violation of any of the terms of this Agreement
XIV. Export Controls.
The Software is subject to all applicable export restrictions. You must comply w
ith all export and import laws and restrictions and regulations of any United St
ates or foreign agency or authority relating to the Software and its use. The So
ftware may not be downloaded or installed by a national or resident of any count
ry to which the U.S. has embargoed goods, or to anyone on the U.S. Treasury Depa
rtment's list of Specially Designated Nationals or the U.S. Commerce Department'
s Table of Denial Orders. You represent and warrant that You are not located in,
under the control of, or a national or resident of any such country or on any s
uch list
XV. Entire Agreement.
This Agreement (including any amendments You subsequently agree to and the Terms
of Service Agreement, which is incorporated herein by reference) represents the
complete agreement between You and Riot Games concerning the subject matter of
the Agreement, and supersedes any prior agreements and representations between Y
ou and Riot Games
XVI. Reform and Severability.
If any provision of this Agreement is held to be unenforceable for any reason, s
uch provision shall be reformed to the extent necessary to make it enforceable t
o the maximum extent permissible so as to affect the intent of the parties, and
the remainder of this Agreement shall continue in full force and effect
XVII. Applicable Law And Venue.
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed under the laws of Ireland with
out reference to its conflict of law principles. Each party agrees to submit to
the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts. The United Nations Convention on
Contracts for the International Sale of Goods shall not apply to this Agreement
.

League of Legends is a game developed and operated by Riot Games, Inc. ( Riot Game
s ), a US company, or its subsidiary, Riot Games Limited, an Irish company. All po
rtions of this Terms of Use are valid regardless of which entity of Riot Games t
he user ( You ) are using.
PLEASE READ THIS TERMS OF USE AGREEMENT (THIS AGREEMENT ) CAREFULLY. BY CLICKING TH
E ACCEPT BUTTON BELOW OR BY PARTICIPATING IN LEAGUE OF LEGENDS (THE GAME ), OR USING
EU.LEAGUEOFLEGENDS.COM (THE "SITE"), THE USER AGREES THAT THIS AGREEMENT IS ENFO
RCEABLE LIKE ANY WRITTEN CONTRACT SIGNED BY YOU. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO ALL OF T
HE TERMS OF THE AGREEMENT, CLICK ON THE BUTTON THAT INDICATES THAT YOU DO NOT AG
REE TO ACCEPT THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT AND DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE GAME OR
USE THE SITE.
By clicking "I ACCEPT" or using the Site or the Game, you represent that you hav
e read and consent to our Privacy Policy (http://eu.leagueoflegends.com/legal/pr
ivacy]). Riot Games, Inc. ( Riot Games ) may revise the Privacy Policy at any time,
and the new versions will be available at the above links. If at any point you d
o not agree to any portion of the Privacy Policy, you must immediately stop usin
g the Site and/or Game.
I. Requirements; Agreement Updates.
Before you can use the Game, you must: (a) agree to this Agreement, the Game End
User License Agreement (the EULA ) (http://eu.leagueoflegends.com/legal/eula), and
the Privacy Policy; (b) install a valid copy of the Game software, (c) register
 for an account on the Game (an Account ); and (d) meet the hardware and connection
requirements published on the Site. These requirements may change as the Game e
volves. You are responsible for any internet connection fees that you incur when
accessing the Game.
Riot Games will revise this Agreement as the Site and/or Game evolves. The next
time you use the Game after such an update, you may be prompted to agree to or d
ecline the revised Agreement. You must agree to all revisions if you choose to c
ontinue using the Site and/or Game. By using the Site and/or Game, you agree to
the then-current version of this Agreement as posted on the Site at http://eu.le
agueoflegends.com/legal/termsofuse. If at any point you do not agree to any port
ion of the then-current version of this Agreement, you must immediately stop usi
ng the Site and/or Game.
II. Accounts.
Riot Games has designed and developed and is the publisher of the Game and the S
ite. In order to set up an Account, You will be requested to provide certain per
sonal information and financial information to Riot Games. You agree that You wi
ll supply accurate personal and financial information to Riot Games when request
ed, and that You will update this information if it changes. You will also be re
quested to establish a user name and password (collectively, "Login Credentials"
).
By agreeing to this Agreement, you represent that you are an adult and have the
legal capacity to enter a contract in the jurisdiction where you reside. You may
allow your minor children for whom you are the parent or legal guardian to play
the Game using your Account, provided, however, that you accept full responsibi
lity for the conduct of the children using your Account.
Maintaining Account security is very important. You are entirely responsible for
maintaining the confidentiality of the Account and Login Credentials. You agree
to notify Riot Games immediately if You believe that Your Account and/or Login
Credentials have been compromised.
You may not transfer any Account or Login Credentials to anyone. You may not sha
re or disclose Your Login Credentials to anyone other than a minor child as set
forth herein.
III. No Ownership of Property Rights in Account.
No Ownership of Property Rights in Account. You agree that You shall have no own
ership interest or intellectual property rights in the Account. All intellectual
property rights in and to the Game and everything in the Game, including, but n
ot limited to objects, artifacts, characters, character names, locations, locati
on names, stories, story lines, dialog, catch phrases, artwork, structural or la
ndscape designs, animations, sounds, musical compositions and recordings, Riot P
oints (defined below) audio-visual effects, character likenesses, and methods of
operation (the Game Assets ) are owned or licensed by Riot Games. You acknowledge
have no interest, monetary or otherwise, in any feature of or content in the Gam
e, including, without limitation, Game Assets. Riot Games and its licensors rese
rve the exclusive right to create derivative works based on the Site, the Game,
and/or Game Assets. You agree that you will not create any work of authorship or
create any derivative works based on the Site, the Game or the Game except as e
xpressly permitted by Riot Games. Any reproduction or redistribution of the Site
or the Game, or use of the Game not in accordance with the EULA and this Agreem
ent is expressly prohibited by law, and may result in severe civil and criminal
penalties
IV. Fees.
Some aspects of the Game require You to pay a fee, the details of which are avai
lable at http://eu.leagueoflegends.com. You agree to pay all fees and applicable
taxes incurred by You or anyone using an Account You registered. Riot Games may
 revise the pricing for the Game at any time. Unless otherwise noted, all curren
cy references are in U.S. dollars. For Monthly Subscription fees, You will be char
ged for the full month in advance and You will be charged on a monthly recurring
basis.
All fees and charges are payable in accordance with payment terms in effect at t
he time the fee or the charge becomes payable. If there is a dispute regarding p
ayment of fees to, or Game rendered by, Riot Games, Your Account may be closed w
ithout warning or notice at the sole discretion of Riot Games.
YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT ANY APPLICABLE FEES AND OTHER CHARGES FOR FEE-BAS
ED SERVICES (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, RIOT POINTS (AS DEFINED BELOW)) ARE
PAYABLE IN ADVANCE AND NOT REFUNDABLE IN WHOLE OR IN PART. YOU ARE FULLY LIABLE
FOR ALL CHARGES TO YOUR ACCOUNT, INCLUDING ANY UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES.
Riot Games may, from time to time, modify, amend, or supplement its fees and fee
-billing methods, and such changes shall be effective immediately upon posting i
n this Agreement or elsewhere on the Game website.
V. Changes to Game.
In an effort to improve the Game, Riot Games may require that you download and i
nstall updates to the Game software. You agree that Riot Games may change, modif
y, update, suspend, "nerf," or restrict Your access to any features or parts of
the Game or the Site at any time without notice or liability to You.
VI. Game Interruptions.
You acknowledge that the Site and/or the Game is subject to scheduled and unsche
duled service interruptions. Riot Games reserves the right to interrupt the Site
and/or Game with or without prior notice to You for any reason or no reason. Yo
u agree that Riot Games will not be liable for any interruption of the Site and/
or Game, delay or failure to perform, and You understand that You will not be en
titled to any refunds of money paid to Riot Games as compensation for any interr
uptions of service.
VII. Account and Game Asset Deletion.
When using the Game, You may accumulate Game Assets associated with Your Account
, including, but not limited to objects, artifacts, currency, items, equipment,
and/or other value or status indicators that reside on servers operated by Riot
Games as data.
The GAME is a closely-controlled virtual environment owned and maintained by RIO
T GAMES, and RIOT GAMES reserves the right to deny service to any player at RIOT
GAMES sole and absolute discretion. ADDITIONALLY, RIOT GAMES MAY STOP OFFERING A
ND/OR SUPPORTING THE GAME AT ANY TIME.
YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT ANY AND ALL GAME ASSETS AND/OR ACCOUNTS MAY BE DELETED, ALT
ERED, MOVED OR TRANSFERRED AT ANY TIME FOR ANY REASON OR NO REASON AT ALL, INCLU
DING, WITHOUT LIMITATION FOR ANY VIOLATION OF THE EULA OR THIS AGREEMENT, AT THE
SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE DISCRETION OF RIOT GAMES. RIOT GAMES DOES NOT PROVIDE OR GUA
RANTEE, AND EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ANY VALUE, CASH OR OTHERWISE, ATTRIBUTED TO ANY
DATA RESIDING ON SERVERS OPERATED BY RIOT GAMES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION,
GAME ASSETS. YOU UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT RIOT GAMES HAS THE RIGHT, BUT NOT THE
OBLIGATION, TO REMOVE ANY GAME ASSETS (INCLUDING YOUR GAME ASSETS) IN WHOLE OR
IN PART AT ANY TIME FOR ANY REASON OR NO REASON, WITH OR WITHOUT NOTICE AND WITH
NO LIABILITY OF ANY KIND TO YOU.
VIII. End User License Agreement.
You agree that Your use of the Game software (the "Software") to play the Game i
s governed by, and You will abide by the terms of the EULA.
IX. Code of Conduct.
Certain rules govern Your use of the Site and/or the Game (the "Code of Conduct"
). The Code of Conduct is not meant to be exhaustive, and Riot Games reserves th
e right to take appropriate disciplinary measures including account termination
and deletion to protect the integrity and spirit of the Site and/or the Game, re
gardless of whether a specific behavior is listed here as prohibited. The follow
ing are examples of behavior that warrant disciplinary measures:
A. Impersonating an employee of Riot Games or communicating in any way that make
s it appear that the communication originates from Riot Games.
B. Posting identifying information about any other user in the Game.
C. Harassing, stalking, or threatening any other users in the Game.
D. Transmitting or communicating any content which, in the sole and exclusive di
scretion of Riot Games, is deemed offensive, including, but not limited to, lang
uage that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vul
gar, obscene, sexually explicit, or racially, ethnically, or otherwise objection
able.
E. Spamming chat, whether for personal or commercial purposes, by disrupting the
flow of conversation with repeated postings of a similar nature.
F. Participating in any action which, in the sole and exclusive judgment of Riot
Games, "exploits" an undocumented aspect of the Game in order to secure an unfa
ir advantage over other users.
G. Participating in any action which, in the sole and exclusive judgment of Riot
Games, defrauds any other user of the Game, including, but not limited to, by "
scamming" or "social engineering."
H. Using any unauthorized third party programs, including but not limited to "mo
ds," "hacks," "cheats," "scripts," "bots," "trainers," and automation programs,
that interact with the Software in any way, for any purpose, including but not l
imited to any unauthorized third party programs that intercept, emulate, or redi
rect any communication between the Software and Riot Games and any unauthorized
third party programs that collect information about the Game by reading areas of
memory used by the Software to store information.
I. Accessing or attempting to access areas of the Game or Game servers that have
not been made available to the public.
X. Character Names
You may not select a character name that is offensive, defamatory, vulgar, obsce
ne, sexually explicit, racially, ethnically, or otherwise objectionable, or fals
ely indicative of an association with Riot Games. Riot Games may modify any name
which, in the sole and exclusive judgment of Riot Games, violates this provisio
n without further notification to You, and may take further disciplinary measure
s, including account termination, for repeated violations.
XI. User Content.
Content means any communications, images, sounds, and all the material and informa
tion that you upload or transmit through the Site, or the Game, or that other us
ers upload or transmit, including without limitation any forum postings and/or c
hat text. You hereby grant to us and our licensors, including without limitation
 our respective successors and assigns, a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable,
sublicensable, transferable, worldwide, paid-up right to reproduce, fix, adapt,
modify, translate, reformat, create derivative works from, manufacture, introdu
ce into circulation, publish, distribute, sell, license, sublicense, transfer, r
ent, lease, transmit, or provide access to electronically, broadcast, communicat
e to the public by telecommunication, display, perform, enter into computer memo
ry, and use and practice such Content as well as all modified and derivative wor
ks thereof., without compensation to you. None of the Content will be subject to
any obligation, whether of confidentiality, attribution or otherwise, on our pa
rt and we will not be liable for any use or disclosure of any Content. You agree
that you may not upload or otherwise transmit on or through the Site or the Gam
e any Content that is subject to any third-party rights.
We do not, and cannot, pre-screen or monitor all Content. However, our represent
atives may monitor and/or record your communications (including without limitati
on forum postings and/or chat text) when you are playing the Game, and you hereb
y provide your irrevocable consent to such monitoring and recording. You acknowl
edge and agree that you have no expectation of privacy concerning the submission
of any Content. We do not assume any responsibility or liability for Content th
at is generated by users of the Site and/or Game. We have the right, but not the
obligation, in our sole discretion to edit, refuse to post, or remove any Conte
nt. We also reserve the right, at all times and in our sole discretion, to discl
ose any Content (including without limitation chat text) for any reason, includi
ng without limitation (a) to satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal proce
ss or governmental request; (b) to enforce the terms of this Agreement or any ot
her agreement; (c) to protect our legal rights and remedies; (d) where we feel s
omeone s health or safety may be threatened; or (e) to report a crime or other off
ensive behavior.
XII. Personally Identifiable Information
You may be required to provide Riot Games with certain personally identifiable i
nformation ("Personal Information"). Riot Games retains and stores in particular
the Personal Information supplied when your Account is opened, with the excepti
on of your bank details, which are held by another company to guarantee complete
confidentiality.
In compliance with European Union law, You benefit from an access, modification
and rectification right of the Personal Information given to Riot Games when usi
ng the service. To do so, You only have to write to Riot Games - P.O. Box: 10736
Jefferson Blvd. #622 - Culver City, CA 90230 - USA, adding a copy of your ident
ity card or passport, and indicating your name, first name and address.
We do not rent, sell, or share Personal Information about You with other people
or non-affiliated companies except to provide products or services You have requ
ested, when we have your permission, or under the following circumstances:
We respond to court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our le
gal rights or defend against legal claims;
We believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent
, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations invol
ving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of the C
ode of Conduct, or as otherwise required by law.
Furthermore, if You request any technical support, You consent to our obtaining
remote access to the computer on which the Game is installed, to enable us to ca

via e-mail and any similar method for any purpose relating to the Game, the Soft
ware and any other services or software that we may offer in the future.
 We transfer information about You if Riot Games is acquired by or merged with an
other company. In this event, Riot Games will notify You before information abou
t You is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy
You acknowledge and agree that your communications with other users or with Riot
Games via in-Game communication, chats, conferences, bulletin boards, and any o
ther avenues of communication are public and not private communications, and You
have no expectation of privacy in them. You further agree that Riot Games may m
onitor any such communications
XIII. Virtual Items and Currency.
You may participate in our Riot Points service offering if You have a valid, act
ive Account. The Riot Points service offering is a redeemable point system ( Riot
Points ) which can be used to license in-game virtual items through the Game. Riot
Points are sold through the Game, either by purchasing Riot Points online or su
bmitting a pre-paid code through the Game. Information on how to purchase Riot P
oints can be found here: http://eu.leagueoflegends.com. Please note that any Rio
t Points You obtain through a Riot Games Game Card or other prepaid method of pa
yment will not be usable until such time as You register it online with Your Acc
ount. Riot Games has the right to, and may, limit the amount of Riot Points You
can purchase or that You can maintain in Your Account at any given time. Riot Ga
mes may also provide You with Riot Points as a part of a promotion, or through o
ther means, such as for completing certain quests or achievements through Your p
articipation in the Game or Riot Games-sponsored contests or sweepstakes. You ag
ree that You will be solely responsible for paying any applicable taxes (includi
ng VAT) related to the acquisition use, or access of Riot Points. You are solely
responsible for verifying that the correct amount of Riot Points has been added
to or deducted from Your Account for each Riot Points transaction. You acknowle
dge and agree that the Riot Points system has no monetary value and Riot Points
cannot be redeemed for cash.
You hereby acknowledge and agree that:
YOU HAVE no claim, right, title, PROPRIETARY OR OWNERSHIP interest IN ANY OF THE
GAME ASSETS REGARDLESS OF ANY CONSIDERATION OFFERED OR PAID IN EXCHANGE FOR THO
SE GAME ASSETS;
AND
RIOT GAMES shall not be liable in any manner for the destruction, deletion, modi
fication, impairment, hacking of or any other damage OR LOSS of any kind CAUSED
to ANY OF THE game assets, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, DELETION OF game asset
s UPON THE TERMINATION OR EXPIRATION OF YOUR ACCOUNT.
You may obtain certain Game Assets through participating in the Game or through
using Riot Points. Some Game Assets You obtain may have expiration dates, and th
ey will no longer appear in Your Account upon the expiration date.
The sale of Accounts and virtual items and transfer of these Accounts and virtua
l items between users may only be conducted via services provided by Riot Games.
Riot Games may terminate any account that has been sold from one user to anothe
r or that has been involved in the sale of virtual items, unless such transactio
ns are conducted via services provided by Riot Games. Any other purported sale o
r transfer shall be a violation of this Agreement.
XIV. Trademarks; Copyrights.
Riot Games does not authorize You to make any use of any Riot Games trademarks,
service marks, trade names, logos, domain names, taglines, and/or trade dress (c
ollectively, the "Riot Games Marks") under any circumstances without a written l
icense agreement, except that Riot Games may make a "fan kit" available to You a
t http://eu.leagueoflegends.com/articles/media that includes a limited license t
o use certain Riot Games Marks. Except for the license expressly granted with th
e "fan kit," Riot Games reserves all right, title, and interest in Riot Games Ma
rks, and does not authorize You to display or use any Riot Games Marks in any ma
nner, including but not limited to on websites, on blogs, in forums, in signatur
es, on products, or in printed or electronic publications.
The Site and the Game are protected by EU and international copyright laws. Exce
pt for your use as authorized above, you may not modify, reproduce or distribute
the content, design or layout of the Site, or the Game, or individual sections
of the content, design or layout of the Site without Riot Games express prior wri
tten permission.
XV. Links.
The Site may contain links to websites operated by other parties. Riot Games pro
vides these links to other websites as a convenience, and use of these sites is
at your own risk. The linked sites are not under the control of Riot Games, and
Riot Games is not responsible for the content available on the other sites. Such
links do not imply Riot Games endorsement of information or material on any othe
r site and Riot Games disclaims all liability with regard to your access to and
use of such linked websites
Unless otherwise set forth in a written agreement between you and Riot Games, yo
u must adhere to Riot Games linking policy as follows: (i) the appearance, positi
on and other aspects of the link may not be such as to damage or dilute the good
will associated with Riot Games and/or its licensors names and trademarks, (ii) th
e appearance, position and other attributes of the link may not create the false
appearance that your organization or entity is sponsored by, affiliated with, o
r associated with Riot Games, (iii) when selected by a user, the link must displ
ay the Site on full-screen and not within a frame on the linking Site, and (iv) Ri
ot Games reserves the right to revoke its consent to the link at any time and in
its sole discretion.

XVI. Unsolicited Idea Submissions

Neither Riot Games nor any of its employees and/or contractors accept or conside
r unsolicited ideas, original creative artwork or other works, including, withou
t limitation, ideas or suggestions for new or improved games or technologies, ga
me or product enhancements, marketing plans or names for new games (collectively
Unsolicited Ideas ). Please do not send your Unsolicited Ideas to Riot Games or it
s employees and/or contractors. Our policy is aimed at avoiding potential misund
erstandings or disputes when Riot Games products or strategies might seem similar
to Unsolicited Ideas that are submitted. If, despite our request that you not s
end us your Unsolicited Ideas, you still submit your Unsolicited Ideas to us or
to any of our employees and/or contractors, then, you hereby grant us and our de
signees a worldwide, non-exclusive, sublicenseable, assignable, royalty-free, pe
rpetual, irrevocable right to use, reproduce, distribute, create derivative work
s of, publicly perform, publicly display and license, digitally perform, make, h
ave made, sell, offer for sale and import your Unsolicited Ideas, including, wit
hout limitation, all copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, patents, industrial
rights and all other intellectual and proprietary rights related thereto, in any
media now known or hereafter developed, for any purpose whatsoever, commercial
or otherwise, including, without limitation, giving the Unsolicited Ideas to oth
ers.
XVII. Account and Subscription Termination.
Account and Subscription Termination. You agree that Riot Games may stop providi
ng support for and/or access to the Game at any time for any reason or no reason
, and may terminate Your account at any time for any reason or no reason
You may terminate Your Account at any time by accessing Your Account through the
 Site and clicking on the "Terminate My Account" button. Riot Games makes no gua
ranty that You will be able to reactivate Your Account at any time in the future
, so please use caution when terminating Your Account. Accounts terminated by Ri
ot Games shall not be reinstated under any conditions whatsoever.
XVIII. Changes to the Agreement.
Changes to the Agreement. You agree that Riot Games has right to change, modify,
add to, supplement or delete any of the terms and conditions of this Agreement,
effective upon notice as follows: Riot Games will post the revised version of t
his Agreement on the League of Legends website and will also provide You the opp
ortunity to accept or reject the modified agreement when launching the Game. If
the changes to the Agreement are unacceptable to You or cause You to no longer b
e in compliance with the Agreement, You may terminate the Agreement in accordanc
e with Section XVII
XIX. Warranty Disclaimer.
THE GAME THE SITE AND THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED TO YOU "AS IS" AND RIOT GAMES MAK
ES NO WARRANTY, CONDITION OR REPRESENTATION (EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, WHETHER BY STAT
UTE, COMMON LAW, CUSTOM, USAGE OR OTHERWISE) AS TO ANY MATTER INCLUDING, WITHOUT
LIMITATION, NONINFRINGEMENT OF THIRD PARTY RIGHTS, MERCHANTABILITY, INTEGRATION
, OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. YOU ASSUME ALL RESPONSIBILITY FOR SELECTI
NG THE GAME, THE SITE AND THE SOFTWARE TO ACHIEVE YOUR INTENDED RESULTS, AND FOR
THE INSTALLATION OF, USE OF, AND RESULTS OBTAINED FROM THE GAME, THE SITE AND/O
R SOFTWARE. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, RIOT GAMES MAKES NO WARRANTY THAT TH
E GAME, THE SITE OR THE SOFTWARE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, THAT THE GAME THE SITE OR T
HE SOFTWARE WILL BE FREE FROM INTERRUPTIONS OR OTHER FAILURES, OR THAT THE GAME
THE SITE OR THE SOFTWARE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS
Because some states or jurisdictions do not allow the disclaimer of implied warr
anties, the foregoing disclaimer may not apply to you.
XX. Limitation of Liability.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES AND UNDER NO LEGAL THEORY, WHETHER IN TORT (INCLUDING NEG
LIGENCE), CONTRACT, OR OTHERWISE, SHALL RIOT GAMES BE LIABLE TO YOU OR TO ANY OT
HER PERSON FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF GOODWILL, OR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCI
DENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR DAMAGES FOR GROSS NEGLIGENCE OF ANY CHARACT
ER INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR WORK STOPPAGE, COMPUTER FAILURE OR
MALFUNCTION, OR FOR ANY OTHER DAMAGE OR LOSS. IN NO EVENT SHALL RIOT GAMES BE L
IABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES IN EXCESS OF ANY AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID RIOT GAMES FOR THE G
AME AND GAME-RELATED TRANSACTIONS DURING THE SIX (6) MONTHS PRIOR TO THE TIME YO
UR CAUSE OF ACTION AROSE, IF ANY, EVEN IF RIOT GAMES HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POS
SIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES
Because some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or the limitation of liabi
lity for consequential or incidental damages, in such states or jurisdictions, t
he liability of Riot Games and its affiliates shall be limited to the fullest ex
tent permitted by law
XXI. Indemnity.
You agree to indemnify, hold harmless, and defend Riot Games from and against al
l claims or lawsuits, including attorney's fees, that arise or result from Your
use or misuse of the Game, or violation of any of the provisions of the Terms of
Game Agreement.
XXII. Location.
The Site and the Game are operated by Riot Games in the European Union. Those wh
o choose to access the Site, and/or the Game from locations outside the European
 Union do so on their own initiative and are responsible for compliance with app
licable local laws
XXIII. Children.
The Site and the Game are not directed toward children under 13 years of age nor
does Riot Games knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you ar
e under 13, please do not submit any personally identifiable information to Riot
Games
XXIV. Entire Agreement.
This Agreement (including any amendments You subsequently agree to and the End U
ser License Agreement, which is incorporated herein by reference) represents the
complete agreement between You and Riot Games concerning the subject matter of
the Agreement, and supersedes any prior agreements and representations between Y
ou and Riot Games
XXV. Reform and Severability.
If any provision of this Agreement is held to be unenforceable for any reason, s
uch provision shall be reformed to the extent necessary to make it enforceable t
o the maximum extent permissible so as to affect the intent of the parties, and
the remainder of this Agreement shall continue in full force and effect
XXVI. Dispute Resolution.
A. Negotiations. Disputes can be expensive and time consuming for both parties.
In an effort to accelerate resolution and reduce the cost of any dispute, contro
versy or claim related to these Terms of Game ("Claim"), you and Riot Games agre
e to first attempt to negotiate any Claim (except those Claims expressly provide
d below) informally for at least thirty (30) days before initiating any arbitrat
ion or court proceeding. Negotiations will begin upon written notice. Riot Games
will send its notice to your billing address and email you a copy to the email
address you have provided to us. You will send your notice to Riot Games, Inc.,
10736 Jefferson Blvd #622, Culver City, CA, 90230, ATTN: Managing Director.
B. Binding Arbitration. If the parties are unable to resolve a Claim through neg
otiations, either you or Riot Games may elect to have the Claim (with the except
ion of those Claims expressly excluded in Section XXVI.D) finally and exclusivel
y resolved by binding arbitration. Any election to arbitrate by one party shall
be final and binding on the other. The arbitration will be conducted under the C
ommercial Arbitration Rules of the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (
"ICDR").
The arbitration may be conducted in person, through the submission of documents,
by phone or online. The arbitrator will make a decision in writing, but need no
t provide a statement of reasons unless requested by a party. The arbitrator mus
t follow applicable law, and any award may be challenged if the arbitrator fails
to do so. The determination of whether a Claim is subject to arbitration shall
be governed by a court rather than an arbitrator.
Your arbitration fees and your share of arbitrator compensation shall be governe
d by the ICDR Rules and, where appropriate, limited by the ICDR Consumer Rules.
Riot Games will pay all arbitration fees and expenses in the event the arbitrato
r determines those costs to be excessive. Except as otherwise provided in this A
greement, you and Riot Games may litigate in court to compel arbitration, stay p
roceeding pending arbitration, or to confirm, modify, vacate or enter judgment o
n the award entered by the arbitrator.
BY AGREEING TO THIS ARBITRATION PROVISION, YOU UNDERSTAND THAT YOU AND RIOT GAME
S ARE WAIVING THE RIGHT TO SUE IN COURT AND HAVE A JURY TRIAL.
C. Any arbitration will take place in Dublin, Ireland with the understanding tha
t any party may attend the arbitration by video, phone and/or internet connectio
n. Any Claim not subject to arbitration (other than claims proceeding in any sma
ll claims court), or where no election to arbitrate has been made, shall be deci
ded by a court of competent jurisdiction in Dublin, Ireland, and you and Riot Ga
mes agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of that court.
D. Restrictions. You and Riot Games agree that any arbitration shall be limited
to the Claim between Riot Games and you individually. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERM
ITTED BY LAW, YOU AND RIOT GAMES AGREE THAT (1) THERE IS NO RIGHT OR AUTHORITY F
OR ANY DISPUTE TO BE ARBITRATED ON A CLASS-ACTION BASIS OR TO UTILIZE CLASS ACTI
ON PROCEDURES; (2) THERE IS NO RIGHT OR AUTHORITY FOR ANY DISPUTE TO BE BROUGHT
IN A PURPORTED REPRESENTATIVE CAPACITY ON BEHALF OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC OR ANY OT
HER PERSONS; AND (3) NO ARBITRATION SHALL BE JOINED WITH ANY OTHER
E. Governing Law. Except as otherwise provided in this Agreement, this Agreement
shall be is governed by, and will be construed under, the laws of Ireland witho
ut regard to choice of law principles. The application of the United Nations Con
vention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods is expressly excluded.
For players who access the Game from outside of the European Union, other laws m
ay apply if you choose not to agree to arbitrate as set forth above, and in such
an event, shall affect this Agreement only to the extent required by such juris
diction. In such a case, this Agreement shall be interpreted to give maximum eff
ect to the terms and conditions in this Agreement. If you access the Game from N
ew Zealand, and are a resident of New Zealand, The New Zealand Consumer Guarante
es Act of 1993 ("Act") may apply to the Game as supplied by Riot Games to you. I
f the Act applies, then notwithstanding any other provision in this Agreement, y
ou may have rights or remedies as set out in the Act which may apply in addition
to, or, to the extent that they are inconsistent, instead of, the rights or rem
edies set out in this Agreement. You are responsible for compliance with local l
aws if and to the extent local laws are applicable.
F. Severability. You and Riot Games agree that if any portion this Section XXVII
is found illegal or unenforceable (except any portion of Section XXVII.D), that
portion shall be severed and the remainder of the Section shall be given full f
orce and effect. If Section XXVII.D is found to be illegal or unenforceable then
neither you nor Riot Games will elect to arbitrate any Claim falling within tha
t portion of Section XXVII.D found to be illegal or unenforceable and such Claim
shall be decided by a court of competent jurisdiction within Dublin, Ireland, a
nd you and Riot Games agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of that court
XXVII. General.
A. No Partnership. You agree that no joint venture, partnership, employment, or
agency relationship exists between you and Riot Games as a result of this Agreem
ent or your use of the Site or the Game.
B. Assignment. Riot Games may assign this Agreement, in whole or in part, to any
person or entity at any time with or without your consent. You may not assign t
he Agreement without Riot Games prior written consent, and any unauthorized assig
nment by you shall be null and void.
C. Severability. If any part of this Agreement is determined to be invalid or un
enforceable, then that portion shall be severed, and the remainder of the Agreem
ent shall be given full force and effect.
D. Attorneys Fees. In the event any litigation is brought by either party in conn
ection with this Agreement, the prevailing party in such litigation shall be ent
itled to recover from the other party all the reasonable costs, attorneys' fees
and other expenses incurred by such prevailing party in the litigation.
E. No Waiver. Riot Games failure to enforce any provision of this Agreement shall
in no way be construed to be a present or future waiver of such provision, nor
in any way affect the right of any party to enforce each and every such provisio
n thereafter. The express waiver by us of any provision, condition or requiremen
t of this Agreement shall not constitute a waiver of any future obligation to co
mply with such provision, condition or requirement.
F. Notices. All notices given by you or required under this Agreement shall be i
n writing and addressed to: Riot Games, Inc., 10736 Jefferson Blvd #622, Culver
City, CA, 90230, ATTN: Managing Director.
G. Export Administration. You will comply fully with all relevant export laws an
d regulations of Ireland and the European Union (collectively Export Controls ). Wi
thout limiting the generality of the foregoing, you will not, and you will requi
re your representatives not to, export, direct or transfer the Software, or any
direct product thereof, to any destination, person or entity restricted or prohi
bited by the Export Controls.
H. Equitable Remedies. You hereby agree that Riot Games would be irreparably dam
aged if the terms of this Agreement were not specifically enforced, and therefor
e you agree that we shall be entitled, without bond, other security, or proof of
damages, to appropriate equitable remedies with respect to breaches of this Agr
eement, in addition to such other remedies as we may otherwise have available to
us under applicable laws.
