THE VEGAN DIET OF AN ARTIST

Ioana is a circus artist and also a vegan for a couple of years now. For this interview, she shared her
vegan diet as a sportive.

On a regular day, she will have carbs and protein and snacks as well. The difference is that you do not
have to feel obligated by any means to follow a strict path. We are all different and we can make this a
lifestyle by taking small steps as well. You can try to take away first the dairy products by becoming a
vegetarian person, and follow that path first, or just taking out every week something that is not vegan,
out of your diet. This is very good for your system because your body needs a rest from all the junk food
as well. You can eat clean snacks like dark chocolate and popcorn, or sweets made with stevia, at home.
Do not forget to stay hydrated as well by drinking a minimum of 3l of water a day. You can find products
that are vegan also, but not so healthy. By reading the label of ingredients you can see if the products
are vegan or vegetarian. Keep in mind, that if you see "it may contain", it doesn't mean that contains
dairy, it only means that they are making the products in the same facility as other dairy products, which
could lead to contamination. But this is not the case, most of the time.

Your main plan should contain:

-carbs such as potatoes, rice, pasta, oatmeal

-proteins such as peanuts, corn, beans, tempeh, chia seeds, soy, lentils, chickpeas, broccoli, flax seeds

-fruits (bananas, apples, and berries are very good for your training session)

-salads: lettuce, kale, cilantro

-snacks such as dark chocolate, popcorn, nuts, ice cream made with iced bananas

The rules are simple: eat every day, at each meal, a source of carbs, protein, salad, fruit, and snack,
every day, for 7 days, and you will see a very big difference in your health. Keep in mind that this is the
first step into a very strong and healthy lifestyle. Eating this way and keeping your body strong and alert
by doing stretching, cardio and just moving your body every day, you will see great results in your
lifestyle.

Everything that we do for 30days becomes a habit, and a habit becomes normality, and normality
becomes our reality, our lifestyle.

Do not be harsh with yourself if you find yourself struggling. It's absolutely normal. We are not born
perfect and we are not robots. Our body, mind, and spirit, is adjusting to everything that surrounds us.
Just keep that good energy raised and take smalls steps into this beautiful journey.
