New Pipeliner Sales Model—A Global

Win-Win
The world is in the midst of a major sea-change when it comes to business, brought about
because of that great equalizer: the internet. This transformation will bring equality to people
and places where it has previously not been possible.

It’s important that this change is understood well because it’s going to have a profoundly
fundamental impact on the future career paths people choose to follow. It will also impact why
people do the work they do, how they do it, and even where they do it.

A Real Choice of People and Skills

At Pipeliner, one of the platforms we’re currently utilizing is global freelancing platform Upwork.
There are already tens of thousands of freelancers on Upwork, available for hire in a broad
range of fields, from all over the world. It’s a very competitive environment, teeming with the
right people with the right skills.

Today it is becoming more and more common that a company will require a specialized skillset
periodically, but not have enough work for them full-time. They might be required for a couple of
hours per week or even per month. A platform like Upwork means that someone with such a
skillset can easily be found so that the company isn’t committed to having such a person
onboard as a full-time employee.

Hiring Right Where They Live

Such a platform greatly increases the possibility of hiring for work from anywhere in the world.
Companies can hire the best possible talent right where they live, without requiring or indeed
needing them to physically travel to the company.

For example, at Pipeliner we recently had a requirement for a highly specialized expert in
special email deliverability settings, but nothing close to a full-time requirement. One of our staff
located such a specialist, began working with him, and totally fell in love with his work—and it
just so happened the person was in Bulgaria.

Just a few years ago, such a thing wasn’t even a possibility. But today with the internet and the
available technologies, the possibilities are endless.
Through such programs, we have now hired people to do backlinking, SEO optimization, video
editing, video SEO optimization, and much more.

This model brings a tremendous advantage, especially for regions and people that would
normally not see this volume of work or this kind of income. For the companies utilizing such
outsourcing, costs of hiring staff are roughly half what they were previously.

Pipelinerpreneurs
Years ago I realized that salespeople were actually entrepreneurs within the enterprise, and
coined a new word: salespreneurs. But now, with this new sales model, we’re creating an
entirely new category: Pipelinerpreneurs.

A Pipelinerpreneur is not, however, simply someone who is selling. Through selling and
supporting Pipeliner CRM in their own regions, they’re actually creating their own businesses.
With this new model, we want to help others create their own businesses around the
world!

We will be focusing on the English-speaking markets to begin with, as there are 2 billion people
within English-speaking emerging markets alone, and most of them live in big cities. We want to
create Pipelinerpreneurs to help them succeed and have good lives.

How It Works
The Pipelinerpreneur strategy is a real game-changer because we are actually applying the
incredibly successful Uber model to a SaaS model of software sales. We virtually go into
countries such as India, Nigeria, and Bangladesh, and create a business model similar to Uber.

You might recall that when Uber first began, Uber drivers didn’t work full-time—they drove in
their spare time to make extra money. But then they realized how much income they could
make driving full-time, and the concept really took hold.

This is precisely how we intend to begin with the Pipelinerpreneur model. People do not have to
do it full-time in the beginning, and can actually get up and running while holding another job, for
example. They can simply put in a couple of hours per day, and are rewarded when they reach
certain milestones.

For the first six months, as these milestones are reached, Pipelinerpreneurs are paid. After the
first six months, they move to commission only, and commissions are very high: 50 percent of
license fees for the first year and 30 percent thereafter. At the six-month mark, the business
should be running well, and the Pipelinerpreneur can move up to full-time if they so desire. It’s
totally up to them how big a business they want to build.
For us, the risk factor is very low. We’re not building any offices, and we have no employee
structure. We basically provide the tools for these individuals to take off and run and leave them
to build their own businesses within their own regions.

A Fertile Field
What kind of field is there? We know that there are over 6 million people in Nigeria alone with
professional profiles on LinkedIn. In India, there are 58 million. It’s now possible, through this
established platform, to find the right people for this program.

Once they are found and brought on board, we have the Upwork platform for organizing and
managing their milestones. The way that Upwork milestones work is that money is paid into an
escrow account for each person, and as they reach certain milestones, the money is released.
This solves what is often a problem—payment across international borders. In addition to the
management of milestones, Upwork also provides recommendations for these people so that
they have exposure and can even find additional opportunities for themselves.

We actually have a network of platforms: LinkedIn, Upwork, and also an LMS (Learning
Management Systems). Plus we utilize our own product, Pipeliner CRM, to interconnect them
all. Because Pipeliner is incredibly easy to administrate from the back end, we can rapidly set
up these Pipelinerpreneurs so that they begin their own businesses—and they can easily train
others. For a user, Pipeliner can be learned in as little as 5 hours. This is even easier with
people who already have technical skills—and there are millions of people who are skilled in
technology in India, Nigeria, and Bangladesh.

Building Relationships
A key concept of the Pipelinerpreneur program is that these people sell Pipeliner CRM through
a relationship approach; they are assisting local businesses. I strongly believe that when you
help small businesses say, 5-10 users—you go in, understand them, present the product, and
forge a relationship—it makes for a much stronger bond than selling long-distance to someone
who has never seen you and never spoken to you.

While Pipelinerpreneurs are making these sales and assisting these businesses, they don’t
have to carry anything with them, and there are no physical goods to ship. This is an
unbelievable combination of the old world—the personal touch—with today’s digital world.

The First Milestone

The very first Pipelinerpreneur milestone, to be accomplished within the first week, consists of
the following:

● Study of a sales course created by Professor Daniel Strunk of DePaul University

● Study of one e-book, and completing assignments within it
● Completing sales assessments
● Writing some reviews about Pipeliner and placing them on web sites (we’ll tell them
where)
● Placing their first 5-10 leads into Pipeliner CRM

Once these tasks are accomplished, a Pipelinerpreneur is paid for their first milestone.

Raising Standards
With the Pipelinerpreneur program, we’re raising standards in three powerful ways.

1. First of all, we’re going green by creating a work environment that involves little travel
and no relocation—it’s all local.
2. Second, we’re providing a way for these people to raise their incomes and, indeed, their
standards of living. We’re even assisting in the creation of a middle class, which some of
these regions often don’t have enough of.
3. Finally, we’re greatly assisting these regions to become more stabilized in an era in
which migration is happening in higher numbers than ever before. This has become a
global issue. We’re strengthening local communities so that there is no need and a
reduced desire to migrate.

When you look it over, our Pipelinerpreneur program could be an incredible financial
watershed—not only for Pipeliner but for the world at large.
