Colombia the damages in the ecosystems

Nowadays we are having some problems with all the climate changes, and the
damage that humans do to the nature and environment in general are affecting the
ecosystems in Colombia. The big problem here, I think, is that people do not
realize the importance of take care of nature, and try to keep all the natural
resources we have. For example, people keep throwing away the garbage,
everywhere, that is a big problem because the environmental damage is really
serious… and we can see it, for example the rivers, they are getting dry day by
day, the animals die because of the dirt, lots of consequences that we see all the
time.

In order to save the ecosystems, the sustainable consumption (that is the

elaboration of goods and services using different processes) is intended to reduce
wastes, reduce the environmental impact and saving the natural resources
including every single part of the process, for example, workers, neighbors and
even the final consumer. It goes with the actual need of minimize the use of toxic
materials and polluting waste

The sustainable consumption is trying to be friendly with the ecosystems. It is

intended to meet the needs for humanity, giving them a better quality of life. It also
seeks to improve the production technologies and encourage different countries to
produce eco-friendly products.

Lets talk about the global warming, is a very popular term to express the different
changes that have occurred lately in the world. For example, some ecosystems are
getting high temperatures that the ones they had before, the weather in Bogotá is
not that cold as it was before, and it’s happening for different reasons, solar
radiation, volcanic eruptions, and also the humans have affected the weather.

Biodiversity in the ecosystems is varied.  There are different types of species,

actually in different places or zones, like in the oceans and the sky, the growing
demand and lack of drinkable water in the country shows an additional challenge to
the future of human health. Population is increasing year by year but the water
supplies are not making biodiversity disappear.

To conclude I have to say that Colombia is a beautiful country, however people is

not aware of the damage causing by the different actions against the environment.
We have varied ecosystems but our actions are affecting them in many ways.
Sustainable production and consumption “promotes” environmental care however,
are those policies true? Are not they misleading publicity? Are those practices
greenwhasing?
