LOGO DESIGN
OUPUT FOR MIDTERM PERIOD
COURSE: EEd 6 – TEACHING SCIENCE IN THE INTERMEDIATE GRADES

Guidelines:
A. Goal of creating the output
Student to design a logo about the learning content in Earth’s gradational processes .
B. Role of the student in creating the output
Teacher in the elementary grade teaching the concept of gradation -- Earth’s natural geological forces level off
rock and landmass formations on the Earth's surface.
C. Situation: Students to create a visual representations of Earth’s gradational processes via a logo design.
How much time is allotted for the creation of the output: 15 days.
D. Specific Steps in creating the output: Students must focus on the Earth’s gradational processes, choosing just
one concept: weathering, erosion, earthquakes, or volcanic eruptions.
a) Study design elements: blue, green, brown and tint of red colors, fonts and design themes.
b) Research on gradational processes and effects, chose just one concept to build the logo design.
c) Start off by designing ideas and thoughts on paper. This helps to execute ideas properly.  It also allows for
the boosting of the creative process while paying attention to minor details.
d) Do not use copied logos, clip art, stock photos or derivative concepts.
e) Decide on the font for the logo.
f) Create multiple variations of the logo design keeping in mind the central theme.
g) Choose what seems to be the best design and finalize.
E. Standard for success: Rubric will be used as basis for performance; a copy is shown below.
