Project 1: Managing Private Cloud Infra

 Managing the Private Cloud of Barclays as the Virtualization and Cloud Senior
Operations Engineer for technologies like CISCO UCS,HP,Dell, VMware
vsphere 5.5/6/6.5/6.7, Pure Storage, vCloud, vRealize, Hytrust CloudControl.
 Accountable for an estate of over 5000+ ESX hosts and total over
1,00,000+ virtualized servers residing in 57 VC in both the virtual and
physical estate. Experienced in Managing VCF infra.
 Working on Cisco UCS Blades, Understanding and hands on experience on
Cisco UCS architecture. Creating /modifying service profiles as per build
document for UCS blades. vNIC Templates, vHBA Templates
 Experienced in managing, troubleshooting vSAN environment, Building

Project 1: BMC CLM

Supervise, Technically Support and participate in the implementation of technologies
and platforms supporting on Bank applications. Experienced in design, architecture and
implementation of BMC CLM on Virtual Infrastructure environments using vSPhere
Virtual Center.

 Design and create offering blue Print and service option choices for various
flavors (Iaas, PaaS, DBaaS and Storage).
 Configured Blade Logic to manage VMs and automate the build process for core
Template used by all application deployments including Auto scaling.
 Creation & managing the Virtual Guest packages ( for widows & Linux) which
used for provisioning through the SOI of CLM&Cloud Bolt
 Managing 1200+ ESXi and 20000+Virtual machines (Linux & Windows)
 Monitor, troubleshoot and capacity planning of vSphere environment

Project 3: Automation tasks

As VMware Power CLI is the powerful interface to perform operations in bulk on
multiple servers.
I have written several scripts in Cloud/VMware Environment to reduce manual effort
drastically and speed up the operations.

List of some sample Automation script written:

 Get VM details -> Does not matter VM in any console , script will generate all
necessary details of the Power state, CPU, RAM, VM host, Data store, IP address,
Cluster, Console location.
This script reduces human tasks and reduces the computational time
 Mounting Data stores to ESX -> Any number of data stores can be mounted on
any number of ESX hosts, again this is time efficient.
 Altering CPU RAM of multiple servers -> This script will change the
VM configurations in one single shot.
 Creating/Reverting/Deleting snapshots -> In a scenario where application
team is going through patch/system/OS upgrade, it’s necessary to have older
successful running version to be backed up. This script will create snapshots of
multiple VMs, revert to older version in case of upgrade failure.
  VMotion to another ESX/Data store -> considering the fact that Production
environment should be in load balanced position. This script will help to share
load between different ESXs in same and in different cluster.
 Thick to thin disk conversion of the VMs
 Reset multiple servers in one single click.
 Deletion multiple VMs from the VSphere client.
 Installation of VAAI and SNMP
