Controllers
The CTD controller is the heart of your Qbus installation. The
Controller ensures the control as well as the power supply of all
Qbus modules connected via the two-wire bus.
Each CTD is fitted with a USB port as a standard to facilitate the
adaptation of the installation to your requirements. Moreover, some
controllers are fitted with an Ethernet port with built-in web server
allowing you to communicate securely with your controller via the
Internet.
The Controllers are available in 6 versions: ranging from controllers
with 1 bus (CTD01(E)) for use in small installations such as hotel
rooms over controllers with 2 buses (CTD02(E)) for standard General specifications for Qbus DIN rail modules

IRG04 Infrared Generator
The IRG04 module is capable of generating IR codes and of sending them to a device. This module allows to control
certain infrared-controlled devices, such as a DVD player, radio, shutters ...
The Qbus System Manager comprises as a standard the IR codes for Sony devices (SIRC code), Panasonic AV devices,
Telenet Digibox, Medion TV, Magnum TV, Philips video recorder (RC5 codes) and of PEHA PHC871IR and B & O
Beolink 1000 universal remote controls.
Other IR controlled devices can be used with the IRG04 provided the sample rate lies between 8 and 120 bits. It
may be necessary to adapt the IR samples by means of the Qbus System Manager – to this end refer to the Qbus
System Manager manual.
The module has 4 different outputs capable of jointly controlling 64 different IR codes.
All infrared codes must be sampled via 4 push-button infrared switches (SWC04I) or via a DIS02 IT. Refer to the Qbus
System Manager manual for information about the sampling of IR codes.
The IRG04 has 4 low-voltage IR LED outputs. The IR LED on the supplied cable (2m) must be mounted right in front of
the device to be controlled.
All infrared codes can be sent by means of SWC04, DIS02IT, infrared remote control,TSC5.8.

deal of movement is required to switch on the light, little movement required to keep it on).
MDO01 Movement, Light and Temperature Sensor for indoors and outdoors
Sensor for ceiling and wall mounting that detects movement, light levels an temperature . The movement alarm has a
range of approximately 7m at an angle of 110 degrees.
The System Manager Software allows you to determine whether the output is activated in function of movement, of
light or of a combination of movement and light. This software also allows you to regulate the movement volume
required to activate the output, and the movement volume required to maintain an active output active (e.g. a great
deal of movement is required to switch on the light, little movement required to keep it on).
The MDO01 is IP65 and is only available in a white housing. The MDO01 is available as from July 2011.
AIR01 - Air quality detectors on the bus with CO2 sensor / temperature sensor / humidity sensor
The AIR01 detector measures the air quality in a room. The measured CO2 and humidity values (potentially in
combination with temperature measurement) are sent to the Controller via the bus, which in turn is capable of
controlling other modules (e.g. the opening of a valve, window...).
For best results it is recommended to use the AIR01 detector as a part of the Jaga oXygen system (www.
theoxygenradiator.com).
The module must be mounted on a vertical wall at an approximate height of 2 metres.

Visualisation: Displays, Touchscreens
The highly user-friendly menu control allows you to control 96 outputs or monitor their status. There is a choice of 6
main menus (there are 8 large buttons on the main screen, however, the bottom two are pre-set with “Set-up” and
“Time”menu) and a random number of outputs can be programmed under each main menu. Each output can be a
relay, dimmer, a thermostat (mode / temperature setting), an audio control (volume / source selection / On / Off,
mute ...), or an scenario.
The TSC5.8 has a built-in temperature sensor and is connected to the bus. The TSC5.8 can be powered by the bus or
can also have an external power supply.
The cover frame is available in White (TSC5.8/White), Black (TSC5.8/Black) or a metallic colour (TSC5.8/metal).
A panel-PC with resistive touchscreen for surface mounting or flush mounting. The Home Navigator (NAV10.2) has a
camera, two loudspeakers and a microphone on board and can therefore be used as a videophony interface.
A flush mounting box required for flush mounting can be purchased separately. The panel PC requires a 12VDC
power supply and network cable.
The Qbus EQOmmand software can be installed on the Home Navigator for the control, visualisation and energy
management of the building. If the SIP plug-in is installed in the EQOmmand, SIP outposts and telephones can be
connected to the NAV10.2 and the latter can be used as the extension set of a videophony system or as a telephone.
The NAV10.2 is available with black, white or metallic cover frames. The cover frames must be ordered separately.

Software: for configuration, visualisation, control, energy management
and videophony.
Qbus System Manager III Configuration
The Qbus System Manager is the software used to configure the Qbus system. The Qbus System Manager can be
used to create outputs (On/Off, timers, scenarios, clock times, alarms ...) and determine how the outputs are to be
controlled (which button on the switch/ Movement detector etc. activates which output).
All these settings are saved to a .qdb (Qbus DataBase) file that can be stored in the Controller.
The Qbus System Manager is free. The latest version can be downloaded from our web site http://www.qbus.be/
english/Downloads/software.asp . Once the System Manager has been downloaded, you will have a shortcut to the
program on your desktop.
OPGELET:
De SYSTEM MANAGER III wordt ALLEEN gebruikt om CTD-controllers (CTD01, CTD01E, CTD02, CTD02E,
CTD03, CTD03E) te programmeren, EN IS NIET COMPATIBEL met CTL-controllers (CTL16, CTL32. CTL64,
CTL256).
De configuratiesoftware voor CTL-controllers is de Serial Manager II, die kan worden gedownload op

The EQOmmand is equipped with the Eco Dashboard. Via the Eco Dashboard all outputs can be viewed and compared
in the form of a graph or a meter. It is also possible to display electricity, water, gas and other metres with a pulse
output.
The EQOmmand is also available in an EQOmmand Pro version. This version does not allow you to draw floor plans
but you can display various statuses (lighting, heating, windows/doors…) in various areas / rooms / flats / buildings
on different controllers via a synoptic table. This version is intended for larger buildings in which various controllers
are installed and in which all the outputs must be visualised / controlled on a single screen.
The EQOmmand application can be downloaded at www.eqommand.com. To activate the controller in order to be
able to communicate with the EQOmmand, it is necessary to purchase the EQOmmand licence card (1 licence per
controller). One controller can be controlled by no more than 4 EQOmmands simultaneously.
EQOweb
The EQOweb web server runs on the Ethernet port of a CTD01E(+), CTD02E, CTD03E Controller. This web server
can be accessed on the Internet with a browser. Outputs can be controlled or read by means of the EQOweb. The
EQOweb web server can be configured with the Qbus System Manager III.

Smart Switches in Niko®, Bticino® and CJC® version
Behind the Niko®, BTicino® or CJC® push-buttons of the Qbus SWC04 switch there
is a PCB full of electronic intelligence. By means of the 4 push-buttons alone the
switch can forward 8 commands to the controller.
It also issues commands if you so require; via the integrated light cell, the digital
thermometers, the universal infrared receiver and the volumetric movement detector
any change in the environment is immediately and precisely forwarded to the
controller.
The switch is also very communicative. Via its 3-colour LEDs it indicates what is
going on by means of colour and intensity. Red for an alarm, blue in night mode,
pink in the girls’ room or bright in the night hall. Or the reverse as the programming
allows you to select your colours yourself, as you would do for the wallpaper or
curtains. The switch operates just like all other Qbus components via a two-wire
bus: reliable and easy to install.
