My takes after watching the video of nurses in the ICU, is that first off their role in the ICU is very
essential in a way they are the ones who monitor and attend to the needs of their patients. Considering
they are the ones who spend a lot of time with their patients, they have this independent role wherein
they always give light to their patients who are having a difficult time of their lives. What I’m trying to
say here is that these ICU nurses are the ones who give hope to their patients and nurse them back to
their holistic health. One should take ICU nurses seriously, its because their job is no joke. Facing the
reality that we are currently under crisis, they are the bridge to the loved ones of their patients. Since
the covid patients are strictly not allowed to have visitors to prevent the spread of the virus. It’s just that
its painful for me in my perspective as a human being not being able to be with your loved ones in the
midst of this crisis. I saw a lot of videos of ICU nurses letting their phone borrowed by their patients as a
way contact their loved ones outside, just to give them hope that there will be always a light at the end
of this tunnel.
