Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies and tuition fee deposits*

If you need a Tier 4 student visa to study in the UK you will require a Confirmation of Acceptance
for Studies (CAS) from the University. The University is only able to issue a CAS within six months
of your course start date and we will only issue you with a CAS after you have supplied all the
necessary information eg passport details, and you have paid a tuition fee deposit of £1,500.

To pay your tuition fee deposit you have to meet the conditions of your offer and accept your
unconditional offer. You will then receive an email from the University containing details about how
to pay. Please read further important details about CAS and tuition fee deposits, including payment
obligations, refund policy and exclusions, at www.leeds.ac.uk/pgfeesguidance.

You will need your original academic documentation when applying for your visa and at point of
entry into the UK.

of UK immigration authorities.

to register up to one month before your start date. If you think you will be late joining your course,
you should contact your school as soon as possible as this is only permitted under certain
circumstances.

of documentation and translations have been verified and accepted by the University. This can be
done at any time up until the close of registration. Certified true copy means certified by the
awarding institution. Any original documentation that you send in will be returned to you. If the
names on your national ID card or passport do not match those on your transcripts and certificates,
an official confirmation of change of name must be produced and accepted.

completing registration. Please notify the University by email to registration@leeds.ac.uk. The
refund of any deposit is limited as highlighted below.

deposit. The second period is up to 10 days after you complete registration. You may also be able
to request a return of your deposit if your Tier 4 student visa application has been refused. If your
