A. Job Purpose : Job summary & objectives


Plan, organize and implement instruction programs that guide and encourage learners to develop and fulfil their
academic potential. Promote and safeguard the welfare of the pupils during on-site and off-site activities in accordance with
the relevant legislation and policies. Carry out the professional duties as set out in Kingsley Teacher’s Planner and Employee
Handbook.

B. Key Accountability : Essential duties & functions

1) Development of Subject Unit Plan and Lesson Plan as relevant to the age and ability of the group or subject
specific.
2) Deliver the curriculum in accordance with the guidelines provided in the Teacher Academic Handbook.
3) Assessment and evaluation of students’ attainment, progress and result analysis.
4) Tracking students’ submission of classwork, homework, class behavior, student feedback and lesson observation
feedback.
5) Researching new topic areas, maintaining up-to-date subject knowledge and devising and writing new curriculum
materials.
6) Observe and manage student behavior in classroom and in school premises and applying appropriate measures in
cases of misbehavior.
7) Marking of all Continuous Assessments, examinations, worksheets, homework, workbook activities and classroom
exercise.
8) Development of ECA terms plans, monitoring attendance of student and instructor and generating ECA weekly
feedback.
9) Classroom management by setting up Class File Communication Record, conduct of PSHE Program, updating of
student feedback and Student Planner.
10) Maintain internal communication with key stage head, teachers, inter departments and attend meetings as
scheduled.
11) Communicate with parents/guardians with regard to students’ daily attendance, well-being, homework,
classwork, project works, upcoming tests and completed continuous assessment via face to face meeting or the
school systems/process as appropriate.
12) Ensure that classroom and corridors are kept safe, clean, litter free, attractive and educationally stimulating with
displays that are regularly updated in good condition.
13) Maintain professional conduct by ensuring completion of assigned duties, adhering to HR policies, attend
education fairs and other special events.
14) Updating the KSM Modules on student attendance, Markbooks, teaching and learning modules, ECA module and
professional development logs.
15) Participate in meetings, events or professional development opportunities which relate to the learners,
curriculum or school.
16) Relief duty of absent teachers.
17) Perform any other duties as reasonably instructed by Management from time to time.

C. 1) Educations & Experiences :


1) Bachelor Degree in Education or any discipline or Professional Certification from CIE.
2) 1 – 2 years of teaching experience preferably in Cambridge or IGCSE curriculum.
