Theory Based Questions (Online Mode)

Q1. Create 2 different multiple type questions with 4 options, in which only one would be correct
for any 3 out of the given 5 learning objectives. Item should include at least one real world
scenario and creativity would definitely be a plus. (15 marks)
1. Adding 2 numbers only; include opportunities for students to write their own algorithms with
digits in correct place value positions; include word problems.
2. Determine the number of different rectangles that can be formed using whole-number
dimensions for a given area.
3. Interpret and compute quotients of fractions, and solve work problems involving division of
fractions by fractions and whole numbers.
4. Solve real-world and mathematical problems by writing and solving equations of the form x +
p = q and px = q for cases in which p, q and x are all non-negative rational numbers.
5. Represent constraints by equations or inequalities, and by systems of equations and/or
inequalities, and interpret solutions as viable or non-viable options in a modeling context. For
example, represent inequalities describing nutritional and cost constraints on combinations of
different foods.

4. Alex had 15 boxes, if k number of boxes are added to them, the total becomes a multiple of 9. Also,

Q.9. Write down a short article on the topic “Effects of social media on the younger generation”.

(10 marks)

Social media has brought a revolution on the Internet. Nobody thought that the internet can
be used for socializing until Facebook arrived. Social media provides us the opportunity to put
forward your views on different issues related to society. Recently, we have seen a trend of
resolving issues just by a tweet tagging the concerned person. This indeed helps in nourishing
Democracy.

Youtube is one of the most influencing platforms on the internet.

Which provides youngsters a platform to showcase their talent and by doing so they can earn a
decent amount for their livelihood. This platform provides an opportunity for cultural exchange
between countries.

Although Social media has brought many positive changes in our life,
with no exception, this has cons too. Social media platforms are being used to manipulate people
for personal and political benefits. This makes the younger generation vulnerable while accessing
these platforms.

As it is obvious that Social media can ruin the future of the younger
generation, it is high time we must regulate the use of these platforms. Also, this has to be taught to
our younger generation that how Social media can be used in a constructive manner. As the quote
says “Great power comes with great responsibility”, it is the responsibility of the platform owners
to not allow malicious people to manipulate people in some way or the other.
