Crew Change Safety Protocol COVID-19

These instructions have been drafted with a view towards doing what we can, as a company to
ensure the safety of both our personnel and our operations, whilst at the same time maximising any
effect we may have at limiting the spread of the virus to our vessels.

2 Weeks Prior Traveling To The Vessel

 Follow official COVID-19 health and safety guidelines as mandated by local Symptoms of COVID-19
government and health authorities.

Travel To And From The Vessel – General Travel Guidelines

 Follow official COVID-19 health guidelines on washing hands and sanitising often (refer page 9).
 Prepare and assemble documentation in original/hard copies referenced in these protocols, which may
be inspected by relevant authorities or other stakeholders during the course of travel.
 Always keep the PPE within reach and easily accessible. Most airports allow carriage of pocket size
sanitizer fluid through security checkpoints.
 Maintain social distancing, especially in airports, hotels and restaurants.
 During travel, use a mask for protection especially in cases where you are in close proximity to other
people.
 If you develop any COVID-19 symptoms (e.g. cough, fever, or other as listed at page 4) while travelling to
the vessel, immediately inform your Crew Operator by phone, who will advise how to proceed further.
 Handle luggage and personal belongings by yourself to the extent possible.

Travel Guidelines – Hotel Or Quarantine Facility


 Handle luggage and personal belongings by yourself to the extent possible.
 Comply with any additional instructions from national or local authorities, agents, hotel staff etc. Pay
special attention to any local requirements regarding social distancing, hygiene and PPE.
 Maintain social distance of at least 1 metre from other people.
 Avoid any contact with people who appear unwell or show any COVID-19 symptoms.
 Avoid stepping out of the premises unless absolutely necessary
 If at any point uncertain of the precautions advised, contact the local agent or your crew operator.
 In case prolonged isolation is required during the process of embarkation or disembarkation, consider
the following tips:
 Pack snacks, reading material, daily essentials, batteries, power plug adapters and carry a
laptop/tablet.
 Regularly be in touch with family/friends/next of kin.
 Eat healthy and do moderate exercise for at least 15-30 minutes daily.
 Establish a daily routine with a fixed bedtime.

Embarkation And Onboard The Vessel

 Handle luggage and personal belongings by yourself.


 While on board and inside accommodation, there is no requirement to wear face masks or other
protection, unless required to be in close proximity to onboard visitors or so specified by the Master.
 Immediately notify the onboard Medical Officer/Master if you experience any COVID-19 related
symptoms. Please do this by phone while staying in your cabin.
 Follow the safety instructions given by the Master in line with the guidelines mentioned in the relevant
Fleet Circulars.

Disembarkation From The Vessel


In the weeks following disembarkation from a vessel
 Provide confirmation to crewing operator/Manning office of safe arrival home.
 Follow the official COVID-19 health and safety guidelines as mandated by your local government.
 If mandatory quarantine is imposed post arrival in your home country, follow guidelines as stated in
national circulars/guidelines. Keep your crewing operator/manning office updated.
 Closely monitor personal health.
 In the event that any COVID-19 symptoms (e.g. cough, fever, etc. as listed at page 3) are experienced,
contact your local/family physician/doctor immediately and further report to respective Manning
Office.
 Manning office / your crewing operator will make contact if any COVID-19 positive cases have been
detected on your last vessel.
