DEMONSTRATIVE ADJECTIVE
• We use demonstrative adjectives to explain or talk about someone or
something.
• If we want to demonstrate where or what about person, people, or things, we
use demonstrative adjectives.
There 4 demonstrative adjectives
THIS: ESTE / ESTA
Notes
1. We use 'this / that' for singular and uncountable nouns and these / those for plural nouns.
2. We use 'this / these' for things which are physically near us.
3. We use that / those for things which are far away from us.
4. We also use that / those for things which are distant from us in time.
5. We can use 'this / that' to refer to general things, e.g. what somebody has said.
6. On the phone we can say, 'This is Ollie' (if you are Ollie) or 'Is that Alfie?'

• This is my market: Este es mi marcador.
• That’s my car and my house: Ese es mi auto y mi casa.
• These are my students: Estos son mis estudiantes.
• Those are the soccer players: Esos son los jugadores de futbol.
