Session Title TRENDS AND UPDATES IN CAREER GUIDANCE

Duration of the Session 1 hour
I. Learning Objectives At the end of the session the participants are expected to be aware of the current trends and updates in career
guidance. More specifically, the participants should be able to:
1. know the trends in career guidance;
2. understand the 21st century skills and employability skills needed to be developed among graduates of
Senior High School Program to better prepare them in life and career;
3. appreciate the directions of Career Guidance Advocacy Plan 2017-2022;
4. appreciate the relevance of Career Guidance Module for Grade 11 on the career guidance practices in the
Philippines.
II. Key Understanding/s The Career Guidance Advocacy Plan 2017-2022 will provide access to information and provide guidance about
career and education or training options available to young people so that they will be able to make the most of
the opportunities that are available to them.
The 21st century skills and employability skills is important input for the participants to become aware of the
skills to be developed among the recipients of the Career Guidance Module for Grade 11.
It is important for the participants as National Trainer to be abreast of the trends and best practices in career
guidance in the Philippines.
