Linking words and relative clauses

Linking words - say which sentence is "cause" and "result" and then join them with
a linking word (therefore/as a result/consequently/so/because/since/as)

E.g. Receiving spam can cause problems. = cause


People install anti-spam programs. = result
Receiving spam can cause problems. As a result, people install anti-spam
programs.

Relative clauses - complete these sentences using the correct relative clause

Avoiding repetition - Change the underlined words in the text to pronouns to avoid
repetition.

An I.T. company has invented a new wind-up laptop that could change the world.

The wind-up laptop is small, light and has all the functions of a normal computer.

processing and memory storage. Mr Smith, who is the boss of the I.T. company,

said: "The laptop does not require an electricity supply or batteries. An electric
