My name is Darwin B.

Ronquillo, I have known Alyza Joyce Alvarez for a couple of years now, 4
years to be exact. I have been her subject teacher in economics when she was in Junior High School and
two other major Social Science subject in Senior High School under the Humanities and Social Science
Strand. Also, I have been her adviser since the first semester of this school year 2019-2020. Besides
being his adviser, I am also tasked to become the moderator of the Student School Body of our
university and Supreme Student Government Federation of Santiago City which is headed by Alyza.
Through the past Academic Years being his teacher, adviser and moderator, Many students and teachers
have come to know her very well not only because of her strong desire to perform at her best in class
but also as a leader of students of our university and city with integrity and humility.

Certain qualities a student possesses can potentially determine what kind of leader they will be
in the near future and I firmly believe that Alyza possess the qualities of being an excellent, responsible,
positive, disciplined and faithful student. Without these qualities, I don’t see how any person can lead
and direct students, or in her case in the near future, as a Humanities and Social Science Student, a
whole nation.

Alyza is a student which exemplifies excellence. She is a hardworking and intelligent individual
who never settle for less. From simple room activities to city wide programs directed by her, she never
miss to check, regulate and polish each and every detail of her work so that everything will be fine not
only for herself, but also for her council and everybody else.

Alyza, being excellent in academics and extra-curricular activities makes other students see that
she is very responsible and committed. Even though she involves herself with a lot of work, she never
forgets her obligations and responsibilities inside and outside the school. Her life inside the university
amazes me for she is a very responsible student but her deeds outside the university amazes me even
more, she goes home after her appointments are done, and helps her father which is a person with
disability do the chores and majority of the work inside the house, she even has the energy to unclutter
her aunt’s home and tend to her cousin’s tutorial reviews in exchange for extra allowance. At the back
of my mind, I always tell myself that Alyza has the motivation to keep herself going up until she achieve
the level of success she has envisioned not only for herself but also for her peers and family.

Alyza always shows that she does not only go to school for social activities she is continuously
showing no signs of stopping on putting in the hard work. Be it work from the council within the
university to a fund raising city wide activity, Alyza displays and maintains a positive attitude that helps
her officers and peers to maintain top notch results despite of the pressure of a certain work. Often
times, I look at the faces of my officers exhausted from work and service but whenever I look into her,
she overwhelms the group with joy and positive mentality.

Alyza is a smart and well-mannered student. She always maximizes her full learning potential to
avoid any major frustration for her friends, officers and teachers. The discipline Alyza puts into her work
surprises her officers, moderators and teachers to deal and work with her, the discipline Alyza puts into
her studies and character motivates her friends and classmates to do better. She has never been
involved in any behavioral dispute noir has been reported or sanctioned due to any disciplinary
concerns. As the old saying goes- you cannot give what you do not have, you cannot create what you do
not possess. With this in mind, as a member of the discipline committee, she is conscientiously and
enthusiastically helps the school implement rules and regulations motivating other officers and students
to have the same dedications as hers.

Last but not the least, Alyza is a student of faith. She is by far the most resilient student leader
I’ve worked with. She is very resourceful and will adapt in heartbeat when a mistake or error occurs
inside the school. She is one of the few students that I’ve ever seen to use failure as a motivation. Many
times I have seen her during activities, exams and major programs and competitions holding a rosary,
often times praying. I am not only surprised but also thankful that the roots of Alyza truly forged her not
only to become smart but also have faith.

Alyza never ceases to amaze and surprise me with her character. With this, I completely support
her to receive the ay National Discipline Award. As her adviser and mentor, I saw her willingness to push
through her studies, develop her potentials and give service to others through the years. I believe that
this level of commitment will lead her not only to success but to complete fulfillment. I am more than
proud with Alyza of her qualities as a student, friend and leader. With these qualities, I am complacent
on how Alyza will motivate and lead individuals now and perhaps a whole nation in the impending years
to come.
