B. Establishing A Purpose For The Lesson
Individual Activity
The teacher will play again a video clip of “Kabuki”

then ask students to focus their attention on the vocal and instrumental features
of the kabuki. Let them identify the musical characteristics of the musical
theatre then write their observations and reactions regarding the elements of
music listed in the table.

C. Presenting Examples / Instances of The New Lesson


Based on the video clip presented, each student will write on ½
crosswise the instrument accompaniment in the video.
D. (Kabuki) and how the musical elements contribute to the performance
of the musical production. Pick at least 5 students who will recite
his/her answer. (15 min)

Group Performance

The class will be divided into four groups and they will practice for the
presentation of Kabuki theatrical music by mimicking the pentatonic
scale. Each group will bring plastic bottles, bamboo sticks and an
empty soda can for the next meeting.
