YARN A P7, using yarn B P1 tbl, rep from * to last 4 sts, using yarn
Wool Cotton 4 ply A P4.
A Rich 493 Row 7: Using yarn A K4, using yarn B MB, *using yarn A
3 x 50gm K7, using yarn B MB, rep from * to last 4 sts, using yarn A K4.
B Antique 480 Row 8: As row 2.
2 x 50gm Rows 9 to 14: As rows 1 and 2, 3 times.
Row 15: As row 1.
NEEDLES Row 16: Using yarn A P8, using yarn B P1 tbl, *using yarn
1 pair 31/4mm (no 10) (US 3) needles A P7, using yarn B P1 tbl, rep from * to last 8 sts, using yarn
A P8.
TENSION Row 17: Using yarn A K8, using yarn B MB, *using yarn A
28 sts and 36 rows to 10 cm measured over patt using 31/4mm K7, using yarn B MB, rep from * to last 8 sts, using yarn A K8.
(US 3) needles. Row 18: As row 2.
Rows 19 and 20: As rows 1 and 2.
FINISHED SIZE These 20 rows form patt.
Completed cover fits a cushion pad 41 cm (16 in) square. Cont in patt for a further 124 rows, ending with RS facing
for next row. (Knitted section should be a 40 cm square.)
SPECIAL ABBREVIATION Cast off.
MB = make bobble as folls: (K1, P1, K1) all into next st, turn
and P3, turn and K3, turn and P3, turn, sl 1, K2tog, psso. BACK
Using 31/4mm (US 3) needles and yarn A cast on 113 sts.
FRONT Joining in yarn B when required, work in striped st st as folls:
