SUBJECT: SABOTAGE ACTIVITIES AGAINST DANGOTE CEMENT PLC,

IBESE PLANT.

The illegal activities of Dangote cement bulk drivers has been exposed. The

drivers sell their powdered cement to their customers at Abule Oke village, about

three kilometers away from the plant. The powdered cement are further

rebagged into Dangote cement bags and sold to unsuspecting members of the

public.

These notorious group carry out their illegal activities at night.

It would be recalled that Ali Garba, AGM security, before his demise led an

operation to Abule Oke. He successfully arrested Sunday Nwachukwu, his

motorboy and one Okunade popularly known as “Baba Ogbon” with rebagged

cements and empty Dangote cement bags. Other accomplices were Tawa

Adebare (Female) and one unidentified man popularly known as “chairman”.

Both Tawa Adebare and “chairman” escaped arrest. The matter is still pending at

Aiyetoro court.

It is sad to note that the officer in charge of Dangote Police post, ASP Idowu

John has a strong link with these criminal elements. He has been aiding and

abbeting criminals in the plant environment. He shielded Tawa Adebare and

“chairman” from being arrested and prosecuted in the law court despite the

exhibits recovered from them. The management should study this case and

ensure that justice is done.

Another issue of concern is the activities of one Monsuru Elegbede. He is a staff

working in the parking plant, lines 1 and 2. On 28 th may, 2020, Monsuru

Elegbede and a RAF truck driver conspired and overloaded a truck with three (3)

bags of cement. He ran away when the whole affairs was blown open.

Meanwhile, some community leaders led by Chief Awoyemi Paul, alias Baba Awo

came to the security office and pleaded on behalf of the suspect so that the

matter can be swept under the carpet.

The parking plant staffs need to be overhauled. There are sharp practices going

on among the staffs, the security and the drivers. All loaded trucks must go

through proper checking before exiting. The security operatives that sells

operational information to the trailer park boys when caught must be sanctioned,
