Discover the Love of Christ

Frostproof, Florida July 2020

Dear Church Family,

A couple of people have said to me recently, “Church is a lot
different right now”. And to that I will say, “You are right”. Because of
the corona virus we are trying to adhere to CDC directives to keep
people as safe as possible. We will continue to practice social
distancing, encourage hand washing and using hand sanitizer, and
please wear a mask if you feel more comfortable. We are
encouraging you to avoid hand shaking and hugging for now. We will
continue to have thorough cleaning and disinfecting of doorknobs,
hand bars and other areas. Add to that the fact that we are not
passing offering plates around, nor handing out bulletins, and
dismissing by pews to avoid congestion, and that all makes for some
strange feelings and thoughts. But we want to be as cautious as
possible.
I am disappointed that we are not able to do Vacation Bible School
this year. That is perhaps the biggest outreach event that we do each

our focus is on Sunday morning Bible study groups and worship.

Four Reasons For Christians to Celebrate Independence Day
1. Gratitude for Religious Freedom, religious freedom for Christians (and others) to freely worship.

2. Christians can thank God for those who serve and have given their lives to defend our freedom.

3. We can thank God for the opportunity to participate in the democratic process of our nation.

4. We can express appreciation for a nation at peace. Our nation remains free of war among

It’s own borders.
