In this activity, a series of exercises was carried out to verify listening and understanding that
can be had in a dialogue by applying the demonstrative adjectives of this, that, these and
those.

Did you enjoy this Grammar Snack? Do you think Oliver will like that shirt?

1. It was a very interesting exercise, to which a lot of attention should be paid,


because with a misplaced adjective the meaning of the sentence is changed.

2. Oliver did not like the shirt, he was expecting something more special, it would
have been better if Anita asked her mother to buy her something different. This
Christmas I would have preferred dark clothes as customary.
