    Instructions for accessing ASME Code Books and NBIC on HIS

    Date: 4/08/2015

    1) First, do not use Chrome as your browser. It will not support all of the functions. Sign into
    IHS.com using internet explorer.

    2) Click on IHS Customer Login at the top right corner of the page.

    3) Click on IHS ERC.

    4) Enter the User Name: BVBTON23 and the Password: FGC565. Do not cut and paste these.
    That seems not to work.

    5) On the next page you will see several options:

    ASME Advantage. Here you will find the ASME Code, Code Cases, Code Interpretations,
    Electronic Stress Tables and Referenced Standards.

    IHS Standards Expert. You can find the same as above but can also find the NBIC, Part 1, 2, 3.

    If by chance you have gotten a new computer since the last time you accessed the standards, you
    will have to register again.
