St.

Patrick’s Parade Rules 2020


ENTRANTS ARE ASKED TO OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING RULES OUTLINED BY
THE EVENT ORGANISERS TO MAKE THE PARADE AS ENJOYABLE AS POSSIBLE
FOR PARTICIPANTS AND SPECTATORS.

St.Patrick’s Parade Galway reserves the following rights:


1 That all application forms must be returned to the event Organisers no later
than Monday 2nd March 2020.

2. Entrants must include (with the application form) information for the Master of
Ceremonies that will be read out as the group passes the reviewing stand.

3. The Event Organisers reserve the right to refuse any application if it is felt that
the applicant’s entry is not suitable for participation. The Organisers also reserve
the right to remove any entry that does not abide by the terms and conditions.

4. The Event Organisers reserves the right to postpone, abandon or alter the route
and/or the time of the parade. No action will lie against the Organisers in respect
of any loss incurred by any entrant on foot of such decision.

5. The parade must not be used to make political statements or promote any lobby
group or campaign.

5. Groups need to observe the instructions of the parade stewards to ensure the
smooth and safe running of the event.

6. Once the parade starts it will not stop until it reaches the finishing point, there
are no planned stops along the parade route. All entrants are expected to keep
moving; under no circumstance is any entry to stop along the parade route.

7. It is the responsibility of each entry to arrive at the assembly point at their given
time. All entrants should be in position and ready to move from the assembly
area at the designated time. Upon completing the parade all entrants must wait
in the holding area and disperse as a group via the suggested routes. You will be
provided with an information pack with your schedule in advance of the parade.

Any third party clubs/groups/organisations should have their own insurances in place
and indemnify the Council as the organisors of this event.

Route: University Road, Cathedral, Salmon Weir Bridge, Courthouse Square, Eglinton
Street, Williamsgate Street, Eyre Square, Prospect Hill
