Crescent Avenue is part of the Belmont
District Management Association (BDMA),
also known as “Little Italy in the Bronx”
historic district with dining establishments,
markets and retail stores.
Study Area:
• 3 city blocks - One-way Southbound
• 26 Dining Establishments
• Crescent Ave – E186th St: 15
• E 186th St - E 187th St: 8

Operations

• Temporary Vehicular Closure


• Vehicular Closure: Thu.- Sat. 6pm-10pm
Sun. 1pm-9:30pm
• No Parking: Thu.- Sat. 5pm-11pm
Sun. 12pm-10:30pm
• Setting procedure
• Vehicular Closure executed by NYPD/BID staff
• Local businesses to place dining tables in front of their
establishment based on physical distancing guidelines and
are responsible for removal of dining tables at closure
• Signage to be placed by BID staff
• Waste management
• Garbage pickup to be coordinated outside 6pm-10pm
Thu.-Sat., 1pm-9:30pm Sun.
• No Garbage to be placed on streets/sidewalks during
temp. vehicular closure
• Accessibility
• Place temporary ramps to allow access to building
entrances/restaurant establishment & vertical indication
