CrsGain

"Sets the DL power of the Cell specific Reference Signal (CRS) relatively a reference level
defined by the power of the PDSCH type A resource elements. If crsGain is +3dB, the CRS
power is 3dB higher than that of a PDSCH type A resource element.

The settings crsGain=4.77db and 6dB are mapped to 3dB. These settings are not
supported.

PDSCH type A resource elements are located in symbols that do not contain CRS."

PDSCHTypeBGain
"Sets the DL power of the PDSCH type B resource elements relatively the PDSCH type A
resource elements. Values pdschTypeBGain=(0,1,2,3) define the gains (5/4,1,3/4,1/2)
respectively, corresponding to the multi-antenna scenario specified in 3GPP TS 36.213.

Example: If the pdschTypeBGain is 3 (gain=1/2), the power of the PDSCH type B resource
elements is a factor 1/ 2 of the power of the PDSCH type A resource elements.

PDSDH type A resource elements are located in symbols that do not contain cell specific
reference signals (CRS). PDSCH type B resource elements are located in symbols that
contain CRS."

Sets the DL power of the Cell specific Reference Signal (CRS) relatively a reference
level defined by the power of the PDSCH type A resource elements. If crsGain is +3dB,
the CRS power is 3dB higher than that of a PDSCH type A resource element.

RSRP 3GPP Definition

Reference Signal Received Power (RSRP), is defined as the linear average over
the power contributions (in [W]) of the resource elements (REs) that carry cell-
specific reference signals within the considered measurement frequency bandwidth.

Since the transmit power allocated to PDSCH RE is the nominal power level of 50 mW, the

transmit power allocated to RS RE is (Power on PDSCH RE/0.5)= (50 mW/0.5)= 100 mW.

Cell Specific Reference Signal (CRS) - (Advanced LTE-A FDD

Downlink)
One cell specific reference signal is transmitted from each downlink antenna port.
The downlink cell specific reference signal can be used for the following purposes:
 Cell search and initial acquisition
 Downlink channel quality measurements
 Downlink channel estimation for coherent demodulation/detection at the UE

Cell specific Reference Signal Power

Range: -60.000 to 20.000 dB
Default: 0.000 dB
Enter a power level in dB for the cell specific reference signal. Refer to the Output Power Calculation.

Number of CRS Antenna Ports

Choice: 1 | 2 | 4
Default: 1
Double-click or use the drop-down menu to select the number of antennas for Cell Specific Reference
Signals (CRS).
When the Total Number of Antennas value is changed, the software automatically sets the Number CRS
Antenna Ports parameter.
The Number of CRS Antenna Ports must be ≤ the Total number of Antennas.
The Total Number of Antennas and the Number of CRS Antenna Ports are set respectively.

CRS Antenna Mapping Configuration

Choice: Auto | Manual
Default Auto
Double-click or use the drop-down menu to select the CRS Antenna Mapping Configuration.
Auto   CRS ports 0–3 are automatically mapped to the physical antennas by the software.
Manual   The ports require mapping to the physical antennas, see the CRS0 | 1 | 2 | 3 Antenna
Mapping setting.

CRS0 | 1 | 2 | 3 Antenna Mapping

Choices: 0 (Off) | 1 (On)
Default: 1
Coupling: Inactive unless CRS Antenna Mapping Configuration  is set to Manual.
The number of CRS ports that are displayed is dependent on the number of antennas in the configuration
and the Number of CRS Antenna Ports  setting.
Enter comma separated values of 0 or 1 to assign the cell specific reference signal (CRS) port a physical
antenna
For example using a four antenna configuration with the Number of CRS Antenna Ports set to 4, the
CRS port are assigned to the following antennas:
 physical antenna 3: CRS0 Antenna Mapping = 0,0,1,0
 physical antenna 1: CRS1 Antenna Mapping = 1,0,0,0
 physical antenna 2: CRS2 Antenna Mapping = 0,1,0,0
 physical antenna 4: CRS3 Antenna Mapping = 0,0,0,1

PDSCH Cell Specific Ratio

Choice: pB/pA=1 | P_B=0 | P_B=1 | P_B=2 | P_B=3
Default: pB/pA=1
Double-click or use the drop-down menu to select the PDSCH cell specific ratio.
