1 Configuration
The structure of a pneumatic tube system can be entered in the database with the “Configuration”
program. On the left-hand side of the screen, you can see the program in a tree-view. It is divided into
several menus. The following pages will describe how to get on with the program.

1.1 Titlebar

The titlebar offers following information and functions:


• The titlebar indicates the name of the program (Configuration), as well as the name of the
system, which has been formerly configured in the menu “System”. The name of the SQL-
server and the database are indicated into the brackets.

• The button “Minimize“ serves to minimize the window to a taskbar button.

• The button “Maximize“ serves to maximize the window to full screen. The resolution of the
program is set on 1024 x 768 px for the best presentation.

• The button ”Close“ exits from the program.

1.2 Menu bar

In this menu, you can make many settings and hold the information you need.

1.2.1 Exit configuration.

Under “Files“, you can close the program “Configuration”.

1.2.2 Expert mode


You change the way to enter data in the several menus, when you activate the export mode. You
reset this mode, when you exit from the program, thus you must reactivate it under “Extras” by the
next start.

In the activated expert mode, the buttons of the mouse have the following new functions in the over-
view field:

• Button on the left (double click): selected data will be deleted. Same function as “Delete”.

• Button on the right (normal mode): add a new device. Same function as “New“.

• Button on the right (add mode): save the input. Same function as “Save”.

These functions help for quick input or delete of data.

1.2.3 Configuration to UTF


Hereby you can activate the function „save the database to UTF automatically“. The back-up is
automatically done each time you start the “Configuration” program. The data are saved in the folder
“Transpo.neT Backup”. Date and time of the save to disk are attributed to every UTF-data. (Extras)

1.2.4 Show tool tips.


For support concerning the different topics of the menu, some tool tips have been installed and are
shown in a dialog box. Stay longer with the pointer of your mouse on the topic of the needed tool tip.
You have the possibility to deactivate the option “Show tool tip” in this menu. After the deactivation of
the tool tips, you must click on the menu. (Extras)

For e.g. under menu topics „Transfer“

1.2.5 Pictures for Transpo.neT-Monitor


Each device type has its respective icon in the views of the configuration software. The program
„Transpo.neT-Monitor does not display these icons. If you are using the program Transpo.neT-
Monitor, you must activate the icon in order to display them again. (Extras)

1.2.6 Info
Under “Info“, the version number of the program, as well as the Dongle-ID and its properties are
displayed.

1.3 Tree view

In the tree-view, you can navigate between the different


topics of the menu.
If there is no input on the data base, only the topics
needed for a standard-configuration are displayed.
For example, if some carriers are detected in T-Control
program, they will be displayed in the topic “Carrier” of
the tree-view by the next start of the “Configuration“
program.
If you select “Distribution of the empty carriers“ in the
menu “Options“, the topics “Carrier stock“ or “Connection
of devices” (distribution of carriers without code) will be
displayed in the tree-view.
You can also open database which version number is
inferior to 560 with the configuration program. However,
the new menu topics are not displayed.

2 Menu view
2.1 Toolbars

Login: Click to login for changing data.

New: Click to add new data.

Save: Click to save to disk after changes were made.

Change Database: Click to go to another database.

UTF save: Click to save the configuration to UTF. Choose folder and name.

Undo: Click to undo.

Delete: Click to delete.

Print: no function yet.

Runtime dialog: This button is automatically activated, so that the runtime window
appears when two devices are connected together. Give in the new
time, which can be taken over as a standard time value.

2.2 Input field


In the input field, data are changed or new data are given in. First, click “New“ in order for entering a
new data. The colour of the input field turns then blue.

2.3 Output window
Each data is displayed in the output window. With the left button of your mouse, you can navigate
between the different data.

3 Menu “System“

3.1 Menu tip


When you start the “Configuration” program, the menu “System“ is automatically displayed. First login,
in order to change data, (click on the button of the chip card). A login is only possible with a
distributor-dongle or a daily authorization.

You can attribute the name of the system, of the customer and of the distributor / dealer.

• System: Enter the name or designation of the system, which appears by next start
in the title bar of the Transpo.neT program.

• Customer: Enter the name of the customer. This information does not appear
somewhere else.

• Dealer: Enter the name of a contact person or a phone number to be found rapidly.
This information does not appear somewhere else.

3.4 Configuration language

Select the language of the “Configuration“ program. English and German are at your disposal.

3.5 T-Control language

Select the language of the “T-Control“ program. Six different languages are at your disposal. Restart
“T-Control“ after change of the language.

3.6 Info data

Following data appears after the start of the “Configuration“ program:

• Creation date: it is attributed by the 1st start of the “Configuration“ program with a new
database. This date cannot be changed and it shows the creation date
of a databank.

• Modification date: it shows the date and time of the last modification.

• Database Version: it shows the version number of the chosen database.

• Initsystem: if the control box is not selected, the database must still be registered.
Click on “Initsystem“ to start the program “Service card“ for registration.
Have your chip card or distributor-dongle ready for registration.

3.7 Maintenance interval

There is the possibility to remind the customer of maintenance. Click in dialog box “Start maintenance
due” and enter date and number of carrier (in carrier counter). The first value which will be reached,
will initiate the maintenance display. This display appears to the customer as follows:

• In case of a failure, the title bars of the programs change their colours into blue & yellow or red
& yellow.

• “Maintenance due“ appears on the display of the devices. Press E-button to delete the
message, which will pop up by the next start of T-control.

3.8 Send ID / Carrier counter

The Send ID and the carrier counter can be set to zero with the “Reset“ button. Restart T-Control after
you reset them.

3.9 Logdata

There are two possibilities to delete the logdata: you can either delete all the logdata or enter a date,
before which every logdata will be deleted.

4 Menu “Device“

4.1 Menu tip


In this menu, all the devices of the system are listed. You can also add new devices or delete the
unnecessary ones. The tree-view filters the devices with the requested conditions. For example, if you
click on the icon “Station”, only the devices of the type “Station” will be listed. Click on “DeviceClass”
to view the list of all the devices.

In the input field, you can change the data or add new data. Click “New“ to create a data. The colour
of the field turns then turquoise.

In the output window, every data are listed. You can navigate between them with the left-button of
your mouse.

5 Menu “Runtimes“

5.1 Menu tip


In this menu, you can adjust the runtimes between the single devices. This action is possible, only if
the devices are connected together in the view. If you adjust a runtime for one way, it will be
automatically be adjusted for the other way.

The input field shows the type of the selected device. The field for adjustment of the runtime will be
cleared.
In this example, the device “Station 14“ has been selected. This device has only one connection to
device “41 (diverter 41)”. The runtime from the station 14 to the diverter 41 is 50 sec. Only this
runtime can be changed.

In the output window, every data are listed. You can navigate between them with the left-button of
your mouse.

6 Menu “Display options“

6.1 Menu tip


In this menu, you can attribute the display messages to the devices. The messages “Destination“ and
“Service“ are standard. The messages “Absent“ and “Divert“ can be displayed by need only, so that
the menu on the device keeps clearness.

The messages of the devices are set or reset with a click. The selected device is displayed on the top
left.

In the output window, every data are listed. You can navigate between them with the left-button of
your mouse. To reset the display option back to standard, click on the right button of the mouse. A
menu button pops up.

7 Menu “Speed dial keys“

7.1 Menu tip


In this menu, you can attribute speed dial keys to each device. Set speed dial keys are activated on
the devices through a longer pressing on the respective key. The sending will be then effected without
pressing the E-Key.

You can attribute a destination to every key. The destinations can be selected in the combo-boxes or
enter the number directly in the field. Each device can be configured separately.

In the output window, every data are listed. You can navigate between them with the left-button of
your mouse. To reset all speed dial keys, click on the right button of the mouse. A menu button pops
up.

8 Menu “Automatic targets“

8.1 Menu tip


In this menu, you can attribute an automatic target to each device. Devices with a send-switch can
have only one automatic target. The devices with many keys may have an automatic target for every
key. For example, device type 93 has two destinations and device type 94 has eight. Moreover, some
destination addresses can be blocked or cleared over the mode automatic target. The modes are
selected in the combo-boxes.

The automatic target can be selected either in the combo-boxes or be entered directly in the input
fields. The modes may also be selected in the combo-box.

In the output window, every data are listed. You can navigate between them with the left-button of
your mouse. To delete all automatic targets and modes, click on the right button of the mouse. A
menu button pops up.

9 Menu “Settings“

9.1 Menu tip


In this menu, you can attribute options to the devices. Devices, which you cannot attribute an option
are already hidden. Not every option is suitable to every device. For further information, please,
contact Swisslog Rohrpostsysteme GmbH. We are at your entire disposal.

The setting of the options will be made via check-boxes. Through simple clicks the options will be
activated or deactivated. Additionally the time can be setted manually for time-dependent options. For
every device several options can be safed at the same time. The setting should be done separately
for every device. The selected unit is shown in the top-left hand corner of the register.

In the output window, every data are listed. You can navigate between them with the left-button of
your mouse. To delete all device options, click on the right button of the mouse. A menu button pops
up.

10 Menu “Device group“

10.1 Menu tip


In this menu, you can attribute a group to every device, as well as for each group a group-nr. and a
group name. This function enables to list the selected group of devices in T-control.

For the input of group-nr., you can only use full numerical value. Create first a group-nr. in order to
clear the input field for group-name. Then you can enter the wished group-name, but it is not
necessary. If you give an identical group-nr. to a second group, the former group-name appears in the
group-name after you saved.

In the output window, every data are listed. You can navigate between them with the left-button of
your mouse. Click on the right button of your mouse to call a menu to delete the group-nr. or to
change group-name or to delete group-name.

11 Menu “Device relation“

11.1 Menu tip


In this menu, you can attribute a relation from one device to another. This action is needed for the
distribution of empty carrier without code. It is displayed only if you previously selected this option. For
example, if the carriers are received on a horizontal laboratory-receiving station and they are sent
back over a reading device, T-control must become the information of the stock of carriers through the
relation between the devices and subtract the carriers from the receiving station.

Click “New” to add a relation between devices, then you can select the devices in the combo-boxes.

12 Menu “Diverter options“

12.1 Menu tip


In this menu, you have the possibility to give different options to the diverters. For example, the
changing of direction through air-flow. A bottom-exit diverter, which has been fixed vertically on a wall,
would lose its carrier in a normal change of direction. This function is needed for continuous activity of
the air-flow, in order to transport the carrier to its destination.

You can select the rest position and the fresh-air position in the combo-boxes and click the check-box
for changing of direction (move with air).

In the output window, only the devices of type diverter are listed. The selected device is displayed on
the left side of the input field.

13 Menu “Addresses“

13.1 Menu tip


In this menu, you attribute an address to each device. A device can have many addresses. Different
actions (slow run, priority (receiving priority), carrier lock etc…) can be attributed to the addresses.

Click “New“ to enter a new address, then you can give a new number. It makes sense to give the
address a name / description, which is then displayed on the device. The selection of the device and
its settings is partly made over the combo-boxes. Phone and e-mail must be entered manually.

Special functions: if a new configuration has been created, but no address were entered, click on
“Create address“ in the input field, in order to attribute automatically an address to every station.

In the output window, every data are listed. You can navigate between them with the left-button of
your mouse.

14 Menu “Freerun“

14.1 Menu tip


In this menu, you can configure a freerun or several freeruns for the system. In case of a failure, there
must be a least one configured global freerun, otherwise T-Control causes a malfunction.

To select a global freerun, a device must be selected from the list over the combo-box. The automatic
freerun can be activated with the check box. After activation, you must enter a start time for the
automatic freerun.

Click “New“ to enter a device for a line freerun, then you can select in the combo-box of the input field
the needed action.

In the output window, every data are listed. You can navigate between them with the left-button of
your mouse.

15 Menu “Freerun time“

15.1 Menu tip


In this menu, you can attribute individually the freerun time of every device to the structure of the
system, in order to reduce the total freerun time of the system.

Select a device first and then enter manually the freerun time.

In the output window, every data are listed. You can navigate between them with the left button of the
mouse. To delete a freerun, click with the right button of your mouse in the output window and click on
“Stop Freerun“.

16 Menu “Transfer“

In this menu, you determine from which device (giving device) to which device (giving device) through
which device (Transponder) a handover arises.

17 Menu “Transporter“

In this menu, all the connection numbers are assigned, so that the transporter knows the location of
the different connections.

automatic destination as follows:

• Automatic destination 1 of the carrier.


• Automatic destination 2 of the carrier, if the 1st destination cannot be reached.
• Automatic destination of the station, if also the 2nd destination cannot be reached.
• If none of the automatic destination can be reached, the message „no possible transport“
appears.

In this menu, you can create fresh air to ventilate the system. This action should avoid the formation
of condensation. Usually, a fresh air action is realised with suck-air, however, you may also choose
blow-air for this action. This can be assigned under the menu “options”.

In this menu, the turn on and off of the blower are ruled. This is important for systems with high-
frequency transports. When the blower delay is activated, the air switch goes indeed to a neutral
position, but the blower stays on for the time of the configured duration.

29.1 Menu tip


In this menu, the devices are represented, connected together and the run-time between the devices
is set.

29.2 Over view

The representation of the devices begins with the air-switch from the left to the right.

To connect devices, click on a device with the right button and then click with the left button of your
mouse to select the corresponding connection and then select the other device as well as its
corresponding connection.

Run-time dialog
The run-time dialog is used to give the run-time between 2 devices. It is always on, so that it appears
every time you make a connection. The new value can also be taken over as standard value.

In this menu, you can select different options, which influence the whole pneumatic tube system. For
example, if you select the option “Absent menu“, then you get a message on your device display, that
the address 13 is absent. This option is reserved for systems, which have an old Airco-CC key pad.

You must first initiate a new databank to be able to work with it. To initiate a program, you need the
program “Service card”.
Click “Initsystem“ under system to start “Service card”. (it appears only by systems which are not
registered). Click on “Check card“ to check the distributor-dongle or the chip card. You can read
information about distributor-dongle and chip card under “Chip card Information”.

With the button „Initsystem“, the database is registered on your distributor-ID. You also have the
possibility to stop a 30-day clearance.
