TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT

Total Quality Management (TQM) refers to management methods used to enhance

quality and productivity in business organizations. TQM is a comprehensive

management approach that works horizontally across an organization, involving all

departments and employees and extending backward and forward to include both

suppliers and clients/customers.

Using TQM in manufacturing. TQM, or total quality management, is an organized

management system that-as the name implies-works to improve the overall, or

total, quality of a business.

TQM, or Total Quality Management, is a management philosophy that enables

organizations to gain customer loyalty. Establishments that practice the principles

of TQM deliver high levels of service and high-quality products at reasonable

prices.

TQM has four basic components. Put customers first. Make Continuous

Improvement. Aim for zero defects. Training and development.
