Emotional Intelligence report on Mr. Pavan Kumar

Introduction of Person

I Interviewed my Dad, G. Pavan Kumar (M), He is 43 years old now, He is a Businessman,


who works in Vizianagaram, Andhra Pradesh. He worked a lot for the business to keep in
such standards, and today Dec,8 2019, Our new MBO( Multi- Brand Outlet) named
“Future Trends” pooja ceremony has happened. This is because of his efforts and
dedication on his work, He has a lot of determination and always tries to improve his
business. His hobbies is to study new things. He studies a lot. After he started his
business, he wants to become a Lawyer, he studied a lot and he got his certificate on
year 2018. Currently he is continuing his gold business in the town.

Emotional Quotient and its Interpretation

Reversing of the scores of 5,28,& 33. Mr. Pavan Kumar has a low score Emotional
Quotient with a score of 107. So, He struggles to manage his feelings under pressure, he
is a person who suffers a lot in any type of conflicts. He is aware of how to control his
emotions and struggles to understand the emotions of others. Hence Low EQ persons
are sensitive and aware of difficult things. They are not practically enough to hold good
situations.

Sub-Scores and its interpretation

Perception of Emotions:
Mr. Pavan Kumar has a score of 36/50, It states that Mr. Pavan Kumar has a good score
on Perception of Emotions, it clearly states that his capacities and abilities of recognizing
emotions in other people. He makes feel comfortable to others. He has negative thinking
in difficult situations.

goes to work and comes home with less energy, and seems like he has no stress at all,
we make fun with my sister, This really says that he has a low stress level. Me and my
sister used to irritate my father with lame jokes when he comes home. Hence, This
clearly shown that he has Average score of 24 in stress Level. If he Deals with Stress, he

should follow some routine to clear the stress. first , he should sleep for 8hrs daily for
good hygiene, exercising, Maintaining a healthy Diet.

Usage of Problem Focused coping:


Mr. Pavan Kumar has a score of 82. Total questions in Part C are 12. The Max score
would be 120. Mr. Pavan Kumar scored 82/120. There is no doubt about the usage of
problem focused coping. In some stressful situations he should be controlled, he should
have some Time management and problem solving solutions. Hence he has a good score

Mrs. Priyanka (F), she is 26 years old. She has been born in Bangalore, India. She knows
Kannada, English,and Hindi. She has done her schooling in Bangalore itself. She has done
Marketing courses in bangalore. After this she got a job in a company , and she worked
for 3 years and left her job. Her hobbies are reading books and singing, well she is not a
pro singer but she loves music and songs a lot. Now, she wants to create a business of
her own.

Emotional Quotient and its Interpretation

Reversing the scores of 5,28, and 33. Mrs. Priyanka has a score of 134. The score above
is considered as high and Mrs. Priyanka has 134 score of Emotional Intelligence. High
Intelligence People thinks about feelings and they strive to control their thoughts and
they demonstrate empathy. They are innovative, focused and they don't bother about
what happened in their past, think about their future. Hence, she has a score of 134 in
EQ.

Mrs. Priyanka has a score of 36/50 in perception of emotions. There are 10 questions in
this, The max score is 50. She got an average score in perception of emotions. She is
good at perceiving of emotion with others in difficult situations, and she has a good

score of 31/35 in managing others emotions. This clearly states that she observes others
emotions first and after her emotions. This is one of the greatest Way to positively
impact the emotions of others is to help them. Hence she got a high score in managing
others emotions

Mrs. Priyanka has scored 24 in utilization of emotions. Max score is 30. Mrs. Priyanka
got a high score of 24/30 in Utilization of emotions. She knows where to utilize the
particular emotion in a particular situation. She has a knowledge regarding this, how to
utilize the emotions. Hence she scored good in this.

Reversing the scores of 4,5,6,7,9,10,&13, in Part B. Mrs. Priyanka has a score of 21 in


Stress level. This states that Mrs. Priyanka has low level of stress, just because she
manages her emotions. It’s not like she doesn’t have stress at all, she has a low stress
level. To avoid stress: exercises are important to relieve stress, a healthy diet and
meditation. She get stress, when she gets a lot of work. And deep breathing would also
help. Hence , She scored 24 in stress level.

Coping Strategies to Manage Stress

Usage of problem focused coping:


Mrs. Priyanka has a score of 82 in usage of problem focused coping. Max score of this
120. She scored 82/120. She has been using the strategy well in such situations. There is
no doubt about the usage of problem focused coping. In some stressful situations she
should be controlled,she should have some Time management and problem solving
solutions. Hence she has a good score in usage of problem focused coping.

Stop Unpleasant Emotions and Thoughts:


Mrs. Priyanka has a score of 68 in this particular strategy. Max score is 90. She scored
68/90. She has good score in stopping unpleasant emotions and thoughts.These people
think before the situation they enter, because they can easily forget about emotions of
that situation and thoughts.Mrs. Priyanka knows where to say or where to open up her
emotions or thoughts. hence , she scored well in this strategy.

Get support from family and friends:


Mrs. Priyanka has a score of 37 in this particular strategy. Max score would be 50. She
scored 37/50. She scored an average score of support from family and friends. The
support from her friends and family is high. Friends and family are very important in
every individuals life. She has every support whole around. She has good friends to share
her emotions and thoughts, she have Family to take care of her and to share emotions
with them.she has a nice and well-being support. Hence , Mrs Priyanka scored well in
support from family and friends too.

From the above Table, there are two types of EQ persons, Mr. Pavan Kumar has a low
score EQ and Mrs. Priyanka has a high score of EQ. Comparatively, Both are different with
different qualities and behaviour. It is clear that Mrs. Priyanka is better than Mr. Pavan Kumar.
Mrs Priyanka has higher EQ than Mr. Pavan Kumar, it clearly says that he is more Emotionally
stable. Stress level of both of them are 24 and 43, this says that she has more score than Mr.
Pavan Kumar. There is no difference in only perceiving emotions, they both got same score of
36/50. Mrs. Priyanka can manage her own emotions better than Mr. Pavan Kumar. And Mrs.
Priyanka can manage others emotions too better than Mr. Pavan Kumar. There is a small
difference in utilization of emotions score of 10. Mrs. Priyanka shares everything to his family
and friends but Mr. Pavan Kumar thinks a lot to whom to he share. Except in perception of
emotions there is much difference between them.

Hence, we can say that Mrs. Priyanka is better than Mr. Pavan Kumar in all parts except one.
And Mr. Pavan Kumar should reach the High EQ level.
