1. Consulte el Laboratorio 1 para obtener instrucciones de acceso a Remote Labs si actualmente no ha


iniciado sesión en el laboratorio.

2. Desde su escritorio asignado, inicie Internet Explorer. Navegue a la Consola de Cisco Unified CM en
h ps://10.1.1.100/ccmadmin (o use el acceso directo en la barra de Favoritos) e inicie sesión con el
nombre de usuario admin y la contraseña Ci5co123. .

3. Navigate to Applica on > Plugins and click Find.

4. This is the page where Cisco RTMT may be installed. On your desktops, RTMT is already installed.
Close your browser.

Task 2: Research Cisco Unified Repor ng Values

5. Launch Cisco Unified RTMT from your desktop. A shortcut was automa cally created during the
installa on.

6. In the Host IP Address field, type 10.1.1.100 and click OK.

7. Click Accept in the Add Cer ficate no fica on.

8. Enter username admin with password Ci5co123! in the authen ca on required window and click OK.
Click Accept if you get an Add Cer ficate no fica on.

9. Click OK in the select configura on window.

Note: You may see warnings about Node is unreachable: 10.1.1.101. This is normal for our lab. The
HQ-Subscriber is not used in CICD and is currently shut down.

10. Click CPU and Memory and wait approximately 30 seconds. Now view the graph and tabular metrics
for current CPU and memory u liza on.

11. Click Disk Usage and note the disk output a er 30 seconds.

12. Select Performance under the Performance Sec on and expand 10.1.1.100.

13. Scroll down and expand Cisco TFTP.

14. Double click BuildDeviceCount and view the output in the right pane. This is one example of how you
can get detailed sta s cs for a par cular counter.

15. Experiment with a few of the other performance metric details.

16. Click Performance in the Performance category.

17. Right click the Perfmon Counters tab and choose New Category.

18. In the Input window, enter Network as the name and check the Present Data in Table View box and
click OK.

19. In the Counters column, expand Network Interface, select Rx Errors and drag over to the new
Network tab.

20. An Object Instances window will appear.

21. Select eth0 and click Add.

22. Repeat the previous steps except this me add Tx Errors. The right window should look like this when
you get done.

23. The above steps walk you through how to create a custom tab in RTMT when you need to monitor
specific counters.

Task 3: Configure Email No fica on

In this task, you will configure email no fica on.

24. Now navigate to System > Tools > Alert > Config Email Server.

25. Enter the following values and click OK.

Mail Server: 10.1.1.254

Port: 25

Sender User ID: RTMT_Admin@globalknowledge.com

26. To set an alert configura on, navigate to System > Tools > Alert > Alert Central.

27. Right click CpuPegging and select Set Alert/Proper es.

29. In the Alert Proper es: Threshold & Dura on, set the processor load to 95% and click Next.

30. Leave the Frequency & Schedule proper es at the default and click Next.

31. Ensure Enable Email is selected and click Configure.

32. In the Alert Ac on window, click Add and enter a name of Admin.

33. Click Add to the right of the Recipients: sec on and enter admin@globalknowledge.com.

34. Click OK, then OK in the Ac on Configura on window.

35. Then click Close and Save.

36. Close RTMT.

Task 4: Monitor Cisco Unity Connec on Voice Mail Ports

In this task, you will monitor Cisco Unity Connec on voice mail ports.

37. Reopen RTMT, but this me, enter the address of Cisco Unity Connec on 10.1.1.102 and click OK.

38. Click Accept to any cer ficate prompts.

39. In the Authen ca on window, enter username admin and password Ci5co123! and click Ok.

40. In the Select Configura on window, click OK.

41. Navigate to Unity Connec on > Port Monitor.

42. In the Select a Node drop-down, select cuc-hq.globalknowledge.com.

43. Set the Polling Rate to 1 sec and click Start Polling.

44. You should see your two Voice Mail ports.

45. Return to the desktop and maximize your CIPC phone if minimized. Posi on the CIPC so you can s ll
see the RTMT output.

46. Now press the Messages bu on and no ce the status change.

47. Hang up the call and close RTMT.

48. Unless you are done with labs for the day, leave the Citrix client up. Otherwise, follow the proper
disconnect steps provided in Lab 1.
