Connection via RS485

The wiring of the RS485 communication should be provided in such a way that the
following rules are observed:

• Standard maximum link length is 1000 m.

• Shielded cable2 has to be used, shielding has to be connected to the terminal T01
(BATT -).

• External units can be connected on the RS485 line in any order, but keeping line
arrangement (no tails, no star) is necessary.

• The line has to be terminated by 120 Ohm resistors at both ends.
