See Tafseer Ibn Katheer sura 27 ‘naml’, ayath 40.
O Allah, make my sustenance the
most plentiful during my old age and
(at the time of the) terminating
portion of my life.
Allahum.maj’al au sa-a rizqika
’alayya ’inda kibara sinni
wa inqitaa’i ’umri.
…O Allah, I beg of You all
good things whose treasures are
in Your Hands.
Allahum.ma inni as.aluka
min kulli khair.in
khazaa-inuhu bi yadik.
O Allah, grant me Your fear and purify
my soul as You are the Best purifier and
You are Patron and Master of my soul.
Allahum.ma
aati nafsi taqwa.ha, wa zak.kiha
anta khairu mun zak.ka.ha,
anta waliy.yuha wa maula.ha.
O Allah, we beg of You all causes of the
grant of Your Mercy and Forgiveness; we
seek complete safety from committing sins and
a full share of virtuous deeds and salvation by
attaining Jannah and deliverance from the Fire
Allahum.ma in.na nas.aluka mujibati rahmatika,
wa ’azaai.ma maghfi.ratika,
was-salaamata min kulli ithmin,
wal ghanimata min kulli birr,
wal fauza bil jan.nati, wan-najata minan-naar.
O Allah, set aright my religious life which is a
safeguard in all my affairs, set aright my worldly life
which is a source of my maintenance, set aright my
life of the Hereafter unto which I am bound to return,
and make my life a source of earning more and more
good and my death a refuge against all troubles.
Allahum.ma aslihli deeniyallazi huwa’ismatu amri,
wa aslih.li dunya yallati fihaa ma’ashi
wa aslih.li aakhirati yallati feehaa ma’aadi,
waj’alil hayaata ziyaadatal.li fee kulli khairin,
waj’alil mauta raahatal.li min kulli sharrin.
When asked by Sulaiman alaihis salaam who can get
the throne of Bilquees, a human who had the
knowledge of the kitaab ie Ism Azam read this du’a
and the throne was there instantaneously.
Ya ilaahana, wa ilaha kulli shai-in, wa
ilahaun waahidan, laa ilaha illa anth.
O our God! And the God of every thing and
You are the Only One,
there is none worthy of worship except You.
Du’a to be read in nammaz after tash.had
O Allah! I seek Your protection from the
punishment of hell and from chastisement in the
grave; and I seek Your protection from the
mischief of dajjal and from the ordeals of life
and death.
Allahumma inni a’oozubika min ’azaabi
jahannama, wa a’oozubika min ’azaabil qabri
wa a’oozubika min fitnatil maseehhid dajjali
wa a’oozubika min fitnatil mahya, wal mamaat.
O Allah, I beg of You all good, whether it comes
soon or late, whether I know it or not; and I seek
Your protection from all evil, whether it comes
soon or late, whether I know it or not—
Allahumma inni asaluka
minal khairi kullihi ’aajilihi wa ajilihi, maa
’alimtu minhu wa ma lam a’alam,
wa a’oozubika minash-sharri kullihi ’aajilihi wa
ajilihi ma ’alimtu minhu wa ma lam a’alam--
O Allah, I seek Your protection from
vicious manners and actions,
evil desires and diseases.
Allahumma inni a’oozubika
mimmunkaraatil
akhlaaqi, wal a’amali,
wal ahwa-i, wal adwaa-i.
O Allah, grant us the best possible end of
all things in our life & save us from the
disgrace in this world and chastisement in
the Hereafter.
Allahumma ahsin ’aaqibatana
fil umoori kulliha,
wa ajirna min khizyyid-dunya,
wa ’azaabil aakhirah.
